Floyd's best wins are Corrales, Castillo and Hatton. He's beaten all time greats in De La Hoya and Marquez. But here's what I'm catching in this thread. In Floyd's era, there were only 4 all time greats. Manny, Shane, Cotto and Floyd himself. Some people here are placing Joe over Floyd because of his wins over Hopkins and Roy, but they don't acknowledge the Floyd wins over Shane and Cotto? The only guy Floyd couldn't get in the ring was Manny, and both of their legacy's take a hit for that in my opinion, but honestly, as the poll results suggest, this isn't even a contest on who the greater fighter was between May and Joe.

Martinez maybe in a few years, but PAC is younger than Floyd so that doesn't work.

I guess we could imagine a shuffling fortysomething Pac though. So if Floyd could magically wait till Pac was 40 without ageing himself, and follow that with 42 year old Martinez afterwards, that would be about right?
Sound like far worse cherrypicking than he currently does, correct me if I'm wrong. Don't see how that improves his record, it still makes him look a LOT worse to wait for them to age.

What makes Joe look better (?) makes Floyd look worse.??!

I like Joe but this isn't even close. May was much better than calz. Calz beat two atg but those same two atg are ranked much higher than him. May is ranked somewhere around Hopkins and Jones. But I liked joe he was a true professional, I just wish he would of fought bhop and jones like 10 years earlier. No need for u guys to hate on either one.

Calzaghe gets a lot of unwarranted flak and is defo an top 50 ATG. As much as it pains me to admit tho Mayweather pisses all over him!

I don't care, they are who they are to their fans and thats fine!!

At 147 and 160 Sugar Ray Robinson KO's both of them! Ray may need sneakers to catch them but he would! Sugars right hand over Floyds "guard" hahaha would end that and the left hook would put Joe to sleep. A prime Jones beats Joe what could he do against THE greatest of ALL time!
At both 47 & 60! ...................lunch time, bye. Ray
I think Joe Calzaghe is quite easily a top 10 SMW of all times. And probably the good end of top 10.

                  Mayweather and by some margin.

Both are ATG in their classes.

I think both are far from great & I'm not a fan of either one, but I guess Floyd is better(not greater).

Ray was saying he wasn't an ATG in his class. At least that's how I understood it.

But there are considerable contenders for those spots, so let's not pretend as if he's a surefire #1
