People said he would duck Alvarez. (Most of the forum)

People are now saying he'll duck Matthysse. And if he does fight him they will say he was a blown up JWW.

Then ofcourse in the middle of that Floyd is always ducking a guy a weight class or 2 above him. It used to be Martinez and now its Golovkin.

    NSB 101.
I agree with alot of what you say,,,, floyd ducking ghost and baldomir is laughable.....
I think floyd will fight lucas/danny winner, unless bradley becomes available to fight if he beats jmm... and even then it wouldnt be a duck for floyd because bradley is another champ at welter

I do think though that floyd - cotto/shane gets overblown on both sides...

facts are 00-06 cotto and shane didnt want any of floyd,,,
cotto wasnt ready and was just beginning to build his name,,
shane was busy headlining ppvs and big fights with oscar, winky, forest,,
    shane rejected floyd in 2006
But after floyd beat oscar,, floyd was the biggest draw in the sport and brought the most money,,,
shane would have fought him in late 07, but floyd retired so shane took the cotto fight,,,
Cotto was ready by late 07,08 but floyd was doing a fake "retirement"
then margs, shane, cotto, all beat the hell out of each other and are basically shot fighters,,,,,
Then floyd quickly comes out of retirement and picks up the scraps of what was left of mosely and cotto......
Floyd should have tried to call those guys out in 07/08 but instead went into retirement and turned his back on huge amount of lucrative fights,,,,

And you can say,,, why should floyd fight those guys,,, he called them out for years and they never accepted,,, Thats cool if floyd would have been like screw them, i aint never giving them the payday,,,, but thats not the case because he did fight them, just not when they were still live fighters, floyd waited til they were shot to pieces and done,,,

Yes mosely had beaten margs,, but mosely had no legs to be considered a threat to floyd, plus he was coming off a 16 month layoff, and margs is a straigh forward guy, and mosely could still crack,,, hence why he ko'd margs

I agree with you that their is a major weight difference,,,

but earlier you had no problem throwing morales and MAB vs castillo and corrales who would have had a huge weight advantage,,,

See the point,, or more importantly why its ****** to compare mab, jmm, EM to guys like corrales and JLC

If Mayweather wanted to make the fight happen he could've just gave Manny a 14 day cutoff that he originally wanted. But he changed his demand after the Mosley fight

to answer your question,,, manny fighting prime MAB, Morales, and JMM multiple times, blows away anything on floyd's resumes,,,,,, and manny fought them all in the span of 16 months,,, the only thing floyd does for 16 months is have fake retirements,,

does that clear it up,,, did you watch boxing when MAB, EM were running it and manny came thru and cleaned it out at feather and superfeather,,, and he was already a 2 division champ before any of that ,,,,
Well, Floyd didn't have the luxury of fighting in that weight class at the time they did. But let's look into that. I give Manny props on beating Solis and Barrera. But I felt he's never beaten Marquez, and he clearly got beat by Morales. He never beat Morales until he was coming off a loss and outgrowing the weight class. I would be a fool to say that that's better than anything Floyd has done.

but when your a two time champ of a weight division, and have fought other champs at the weightclass with no CW,, but then ask for won against a guy that is considered a threat,,, it looks kinda like a scared tactic and is kinda weak considering your in a unification fight, and that you hold 2 belts there,
The catchweight is undoubtedly weak. But If he was really scared he wouldn't take the fight. You grown men throw that word around very often.

              1. Did anyone really think jmm had a chance vs floyd,,, really i want to know,, did you think jmm was going to outbox floyd or ko him

              2. jmm is a great fighter but he is a counter puncher that excels vs aggressive come forward fighters like diaz, manny, katsidis,, and jmm doesnt excel vs actual boxers like chris john, mab, casamoyer....

              3. Did you really think floyd would lose to a guy that is older, smaller, slower handspeed, slower footspeed, shorter, weaker, shaky defense, and counterpuncher,,, do you really think that guy is going to outbox and outcounter floyd joy mayweather jr

              4. you have to be a complete idiot to think jmm stood a chance in that fight,, but the funny thing is that people actually brag about the jmm and compare it to manny's fights with jmm, ignoring the fact that jmm and manny are about the same size, and floyd is bigger than both,, and that floyd is a slick boxer, whereas manny is an aggressive puncher, tailor-made for jmm counters, thats why they have great fights together,,

              5. if you cant understand that, then you should just log off and pick up a new sport
Well that older, smaller, weaker, shaky defense, slower hand speed guy put pac to sleep and a lot of people still think pac can beat Mayweather lol!

You are right abt the size thing though! jmm stood no chance against Floyd and that's why Floyd should get more respect and credit for beating cotto, DLH bc there where bigger guys!

True about morales being at the tail end but he was still a good fighter, he did beat manny in the 1st fight,, and i think EM became a shot fighter in the 12th round of that fight when he went southpaw and let manny T-off on him...
I thought manny won the first jmm fight, barely, just because of the 3 kds, take those away and its jmm 115-113....
Beating barrera was a huge accomplishment considering barrera had just beaten undefeated prince and undefeated morales,,, MAB was a legit top 5 p4p guy and the kingpin and manny blew him out of the water,,, I think that is a better win than any of floyd TBH, and so was the JMM 1,2 both fights i thought manny won albiet barely and the kds saved him...

If he wasnt at least nervous or lil scared he would have never asked for the CW, just like he didnt with cotto and oscar,, but truthfully, i dont think its that big of deal,,, its not like canelo is going all the way to welter or even 150,,, then he could be drained,,, but at 152 i think it could backfire on floyd because i have always viewed canelo as being a little soft and not being in the best of shape, hence why he only fights in spurts and has a habit of gassing after a few rounds,,,
I think the 152 is gonna make canelo come in the best shape of his life and might actually have some endurance and be able to fight all 3 mins of each round instead of taking the little breaks like he did vs trout...
I still like floyd by UD...

like i said,,, styles makes fights,, jmm excels vs guys like manny that come and attack,,, and it took him 4 fights and supernatural strength to finally ko manny....
Manny is a live threat vs floyd because guys with fast hands that bring the fight are something that troubles floyd,,, look at the corley or judah or even oscar fight,,, floyd never has fought a guy that can match his handspeed and manny is faster than floyd and brings big power,,, now manny is pretty much shot, and so i give him very little chance to beat floyd,,, but on 09-10 manny had a legit chance at beating floyd,,,

I give floyd props for the oscar fight,,, but the cotto that floyd fought was just a shell of himself,,,, Floyd would have beaten him at 140, 47 , or 54,,, but cotto was the worst possible version to fight,,,,,

Manny is shot? You mean manny doesn't shoot up any more lol! So manny jumping into a counter punch is supernatural strength now? Funny as hell the excuses for pac loosing never stops!

Now pac has trouble with boxers and accurate counter punchers and he got ko'd by probably the number 2 counter puncher in the game! Your telling me that the number 1 counter puncher, best pure boxer in the game would of hade trouble with pacs aggressive style I don't think so!

Cotto wasn't the same fighter he was before the 1st margo fight but before he fought may he was coming off that revenge fight with margo! I thought he looked good in that fight considering he got absolutely destroyed in there first 1 fight! But of course anybody with a brain knew margo was loaded up in there 1st meeting!
