You can't be a top 5 P4P fighter and get KO'd by a shot fighter. He's should still be highly rated, but he sure as hell was never the top 5 P4P fighter he was advertised to be. I also thought he could very well have lost his fights against Darchinyan, Perez and Agbeko I so he could easily have 4 losses on his record.

I agree and they really expose themselves.

**** people don't even have to go that far back in history as we saw Lennox Lewis bounce back twice from devasting KO's and is one of the greatest HW of alltime, IMO.

Even when Barrera got taken apart by Pacquiao, he came back and had some great wins (Ayala and Morales).

            so basically

it's impossible for a shop-worn, past-it veteran fighter to expose a young fighter.

that's what you guys are saying.

it's IMPOSSIBLE to be exposed by and old, cagey veteran fighter.

            i disagree.

if this fight had gone 10-12 rounds and it was a back and forth battle, it wouldn't be getting exposed.

he was OUT in less than one round.

Exposed? He fought an experienced and very hard puncher in Gonzalez and unfortunately for Mares he was caught by a massive hook.

He's been beating top guys for years and now because of a loss against a very dangerous opponent he was exposed. Sure...

he was exposed because of how he lost the fight. not BECAUSE he lost the fight. use some critical thinking and actually analyze the situation, instead of boiling it down to "HE YOUNG DOE, LOST TO A GOOD VET"

                      response?

                      simple answer, yes or no.
