Is Mares done/ruined after tonight? Your thoughts...

Crazy how Mares had tough fight, after tough fight and always came through. In not sure why or how this was supposed to be an easy fight. Showtime made some comments about marinating the meat for too long, blah, blah, blah....

How can anyone claim Mares was being marinated? How?? The guy fought nothing but tough/hard fights back to back!

    Anyways...back to the topic.

What do y'all say? Will Mares bounce back and come back stronger? Or, will he be mentally ruined after his first devastating KO loss?

Absolutely not. He's still young and he can bounce back.
I'm not certain tough about a rematch

I hope they don't do a rematch! Not immediately at least...

He'll be back, he got caught its boxing it happens. Its not like he took a continuous brutal beat down for 12 rounds. And hes young its not the end of the world.

Mares had shown to have a pretty good chin before, but he literally got caught with his hands on his waist.

Johnny's a damn strong puncher... I thought PDL would've been the one.
Also I still think Mares is undersized for FW.... at least small

If that were the case Jhonny would have been done years ago, and he still pulled an upset like the one last night.

Mares will certainly bounce back, but needs to better that weak defense of his. He's now in a division were his chin can't hold up as it did in 118. That's if he steps in one day against the likes of Micky Garcia (@ 130), Donaire or even Rigondeaux.
