In the context of the Heavyweight division Pulev was good. I don't see him defeating Wlad though or even Vitali.

imho , i think klitschko watched this fight rubbing his hands! he would outjab pulev and when pulev tried to get inside just grab him , i would go as far to say that klitschko could possibly get a mid round ko against pulev. klitschko would score with the right hand with ease all night.

What a sorry state the heavyweight division is. Actually makes you appreciate the skill and the great physical conditioning of Klitschko.

Kubrat played it careful but smart, still mixing and using opportunistic timing to score shots. His gameplan was is to let Thompson get a little fatigued so he couldn't control the distance anymore with his long arms, and to use good timing to get on the inside throwing combos.

Pulev is now Wladimir Klitschkos IBF mandatory, we may see that fight as early as December of this year (Wladimir says he wants to fight again in December).
But do you think he troubles Wladimir? I just don't see it.

Pulev did what he was supposed to do and got the job done so I give him credit for that....but he wasn't impressive.

I would love to watch that fight but Klitschko has to overcome Povetkin's hurdle. The fight against Povetkin is a closer one than the fight against Haye. If Wladimir beats Povetkin with ease, that would mean that Wladimir is in his prime. The Pulev fight shouldn't be a dangerous one then. However I think that Pulev might give Wladimir some technical problems as they both use a lot the jab. ( of course comparing Pulev's jab to Wlad's one would be like comparing copper to gold)

The BoxNation commentators were rooting for Thompson and unfairly negative about Pulev.

what was impressive to me is when TT landed that flush rabbit punch on Pulev and Pulev was like, like it was nothing. I mean that was a flush hard thrown punch at the back of his head my a 265 pounder who trains to throw punches. Well, he doesn't have much power but he is resilient.
