    Kubrat Pulev was impressive today

Very good performance by Kubrat Pulev. Tony Thompson is strong, crafty, and long-armed plus he's a southpaw.

Some ring rust and difficulty adjusting to Thompson's awkward southpaw style was evident in rounds 1-3, but from rounds 4 to 12 Kubrat was in control.

Kubrat played it careful but smart, still mixing and using opportunistic timing to score shots. His gameplan was is to let Thompson get a little fatigued so he couldn't control the distance anymore with his long arms, and to use good timing to get on the inside throwing combos.

Pulev is now Wladimir Klitschkos IBF mandatory, we may see that fight as early as December of this year (Wladimir says he wants to fight again in December).

Pulev did what was expected of him. I thought it was a good effort.

Well if Chisora does fight Bostoyv... then hopefully he'll fight Pulev in December.
I came in on the last 2 rounds, so i have no judgement

Thompson is a strong, crafty HW, not easy to look good against.

Surprised you'd bash Pulev after what happened to David Price when he fought Tony.

Who was the unimpressive one: Price or Pulev?

Both were not impressive but Price obviously more so.

I am not bashing Pulev just thought he was better then that.

Not sure if the Dec fight will be against Pulev since Povetkin is considered a mandatory too im sure he has more time if he wants it. Fighting Pulev a little more than 2 months after Povetkin would be ambitious but if he doesn't take much punishment against Sasha it would be nice to see especially after the underwhelming lineup of Mormeck, Thompson, Wach in 2012.

Thompson, Wach, Pianeta, Povetkin, Pulev would be a nice run of title defenses though.

                  Yes.

Three undefeated fighters - Pianeta, Povetkin and Pulev - would be a great year.

Boytsov is WBO #1 so he's another undefeated HW who may soon be fighting Wlad.

Pulev earned a hard-fought victory, but I was expecting more. Hopefully he remains active.
