All in all, I think most Floyd fans like to watch Floyd fight but would probably pass on an opportunity to hang out with the guy. Whereas a lotta Pac fans would sell their first born for five minutes of Manny's time.
I dont get the comparison with pacquiao's fans, I dont see that many of them here in order for you to make that call, but are you trying to tell me with a straight face that the likes of burner, STAX, big dumm, paquiao'd, duckketts, jakutindi, reloaded, larryx, pb32 etc. Dont take their worship to an embarrasing level and wouldnt wanna hangout with/of him? Yeah ok..

You missed out my personal fav. "Pacquiao rides my coattails." Then next fight (was Ortiz), stands up and says, "Pacquiao, you're next!" Uses Pacquiao to build hype for his own fight. Hilarious.

I don't really understand it when people say Floyd retired to let the welterweight division cool down. He retired right in the middle of negotiations for a DLH rematch and in the second fight of his comeback, he fought Mosley, who was sitting on top of the welterweight heap. To me, if he was simply trying to avoid the welterweight division, he would have taken the moster payday of a DLH rematch and then laid it down. Just sayin'.

I'm not saying Floyd doesn't have some fanatical dumbasses for fans. But to me, Pac's fans in gereral are a lil more irrational, and seem to adore Pac on a much more personal leel than do Floyd's fans. And that makes them a lil more annoying to me.

True, he was in talks for an oscar rematch, but oscar didnt want to do 50/50 split and oscar wanted it at welter,,,,,

but the division was stacked at the time with cotto, margs, shane, pwills,,, and by the time floyd cameback,, cotto was ruined, margs was ruined, pwill was in higher classes, and yes shane was champ, but he had no legs, margs comes straight forward and so shane didnt need his legs in that fight, plus shane was coming off a 17 month layoff at nearly 40 years of age,,,

Would have been much better if floyd had fought shane in late 07 but he chose hatton at welter, and cotto and shane duked it out,,, then in 2008 i would have loved to see floyd vs hatton and then a cotto fight,,,,

I just left Magic a few days ago. Floyd's looking incredible and the camp seems to have very little worries about Canelo.

Can't believe people don't mention this enough. He retired during ODLH negotiations to avoid the rematch....the first fight was pretty close. Floyd simply wasn't interested in seeing how the rematch was going to turn out.

I never understood the whole "Floyd ducked the welterweight division" theory. Floyd retired after the Hatton fight, December of 07. The division got hot in 2008. Paul Williams wasn't doing anything of note in 07. Margarito did nothing of note in 2007. Cotto and Mosley duked it out in a close one, but Cotto later admitted that he didn't want a Floyd fight around that time. And Mosley didn't want to fight Floyd because he had to see his dentist. And Pacquiao wasn't even in the division. So how is it that Floyd was scared of this? In 2008, things got interesting, but by that time Floyd was already gone! You think he said "You know what, next year is gonna be hectic, let me get out"? He had nothing to go off of to back that statement up, because these guys were silent in 2007. Let's not rewrite history my man.

LOL at pac fanatics more irrational than Floyd fantics. For you to even make that statement obviously shows you don't know much or haven't been reading these forums for the past 2 years or so LOL.
