No, it really doesnt work like that at all. Floyd fans are universally regarded as the worst fanbase in the sport, especially in this forum. The level and lengths they take their hero worship to is frankly embarrasing, but also amusing and thats where the deluge of derision comes from. They are also by far the most racist and generally vile all round bunch here.

The saddest thing about your post though, is that you have just confirmed that you are one of those dirty little flowmo types.

Canelo has been tearing up his sparring partners. Ellerbe & Co. don't want to hear that, they don't want Floyd to hear that, so he spins it to see if he can take the large Canelo following, and turn them on Canelo some. At ever presser, Canelo had a MUCH bigger following. Ellerbe just doesn't want Canelo to be gaining more popularity, more momentum thru camp... and if he can put some DOUBT in the minds of the public about whether Canelo is destroying sparring partners, that's the attempt from Ellerbe..... Floyd is in a lot of trouble... he's going to find he can't run from this guy, and this guy is bigger, stronger, hits harder, more relentless, and has no respect or fear of Floyd, and that will not bode well for those gangsters..... Canelo doesn't have a bigger following than Floyd. Most of Floyd's "following" despise him and pay to see him lose. But just like Buddy Rogers once said. " Whether they pay to see you win or lose, its still 5 bucks in the seat."

Watching the fight, it appeared that Ortiz threw the butt because he was frustrated at his inability to connect when he had Floyd on the ropes.

2. floyd gonna retire after oscar fight (back a few months later)

Most of the hardcore Floyd fans I come across seem to think that Floyd is an *******, but appreciate his in-ring talent and have a different interpretation of his accomplishments than do Floyd's critics. On the other hand Pac's hardcore fans seem to have a god-like admiration for the guy and are a lil detatched from reality when it comes to Pac's in-ring accomplishments. All in all, I think most Floyd fans like to watch Floyd fight but would probably pass on an opportunity to hang out with the guy. Whereas a lotta Pac fans would sell their first born for five minutes of Manny's time.
