Calzaghe would at least feint, circle around you, there was a lot of trickery to Calzaghe's game, makes you miss the guy. Also, Kovalev is that damn good, Cleverly never showed me that he had the footwork to tangle with Kovalev.

I don't think Calzaghe gets the sort of credit that he deserves around here, the guy is a genius with his slickness in around the ring. I really do miss him been around because I have no doubt that he would have box around Kov.

          The numbers speak for themselves.

American boxers DOMINATE boxing. African Americans, Latin Americans - RULE BOXING.
Isn't the population of the US slightly larger then england? Could that be part of the reason?

Calzaghe, Froch, Lewis, all really really top champions, quit complaining! We have had brian "68-0" nielsen as one of our best.

The clown even admitted that at the start of his post lol.

And the fact that America has been completely beaten out of boxing altogether with no hope of return in sight is undeniable. Making excuses for it and hyping up past fighters and demoralising the current era is silly but understandable. But denying it is even more shameful!

The US needs to bring boxing back to high school, put down the rap music cd's and the hand guns and get back in the gym! Laziness!

IMO the problem is the style. Almost all british fighters are cookie cutter ABC fighters who dont have variations to their game. They're either this or that but can't be this and that. Most euro fighters for that matter too (MOST, not all, especialy the eastern block of recent years) . Theyre all stiff with no extras. Meanwhile americans have some sort of rhythm and coordination. I believe its the trainers for not getting with the times and switching styles up. The way I picture it is someone with rhythm who can dance against someone who has no rhythm and may excel at a couple of good steps. But in the end they still lack that rhythm and seemingly natural flow.

As soon as someone throws in a "cookie cutter" comment I just switch off and think ***git.

There are some US boxers that fit your description and that is great. I like Adrien Broner for example. The HW division in America by comparison is demonstratably a pile of ****!
