It's obvious, once these dudes feel threatened they pretty much insinuate that the opponent has been on PED's and ask for more strenuous testing..

I'm not opposed to anti-doping testing, but these guys are showing their true colors when they ask for the "extra testing to be sure it's an even playing field" all of sudden..

This is my problem with these dudes wanting to ensure "an even playing field". All this comes up only when a high stakes fight comes a long. There was no testing for any of Garcia's previous fights up until Matthyse. There was no testing in any of Floyd's fights up until the Pacquiao fight became a possibility. Even when Floyd was in negotiations for Marquez, a fighter who would have ALL the reason in the world, coming up from lightweight to WW at an older age, to use PEDS. Floyd didn't ask him to take any tests.

I'm not saying they're scared to fight these guys, but let's be real here. This is not about "preserving the integrity of the sport of Boxing". This is just a manner of exerting power to make negotiations as difficult as they can be as some sort of psychological advantage.

Angel Garcia has been demanding random testing ever since the Amir Khan fight. He's gone on record saying that every fight Danny has will be using USADA.

Too bad they don't test Angel instead because crackfiends shouldn't be allowed around the high profile, rich people that attend the fights. He runs a high risk of pickpocketing some millionaire wife's purse when she is texting on her cell.

Agreed. Considering Marquez 8-pack and KO of Manny at the age of 40 but not at the age of 30... I would be testing ALL of these fake @ss overnight Roberto Durans.

Marquez at the age of 40 still beats the brakes off Garcia testing or no testing.
