Floyd is not an ass kisser. He shouldn't be when it comes to his money. I would never become an ass kisser even if my life depended on it. What I can say behind your back, I choose to say to your face. I'm not running to so called superiors and complaining.

He got slammed for that because he actually TWEETED that he was paying or offering to pay for the funeral which didnt seem sincere and instead seemed as if he were looking for praise for doing it. I can see how many people felt this was a PR stunt.

You're absolutely right. No wealthy person "has" to donate money or do any type of charitable work. But at the end of the day if the money you are donating is going to be taken ANYWAY by uncle sam, why not help someone out who can use it all the while receiving a tax deduction in the process? Its not as if the donated money is money that the person will be losing out on. It's a win win for everyone. The charity gets help while the person making the donation does something to feel good about while getting good PR in the process.

Good post. They are saying that he didn't have to Tweet that he is paying for someone's funeral to get attention. Get attention by offering to pay for someones funeral.

If Floyd wanted attention, he could've Tweeted that he was about to do situps in his driveway like T.O right.

Good deed from Floyd and he should be commended for it. What most people do have to realize though is that when you hear of wealthy people doing charitable things, these things are all tax deductions. Why do you think guys like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet give away most of their fortune to certain charities? Because if they didnt Uncle Sam would just take it anyway. So why not do some good with your wealth such as what Floyd is doing?

Well, the GOOD PR is a judgement call. People who donate want to donate. They don't have to, so the angle some critics use to justify their accusation that "this guy is only doing this for this reason "is just how they justify their accusations-with accusations.
