So hes holding a fight in China at a time thats just off to satisfy the American public but yall think this is fine and going to China is the best option for a fight with Floyd when he could just hold it in Vegas and have the same billion people buy fights on PPV for $5 in the US or UK.

No you all are taking this to a different extreme. I was just asking "why". It doesnt make sense to me. I understand the tapping of market and everything but then why hodl the fight for the American public. American public will buy fights in morning. At least i still will. Im more thinking of the chinese audience then anything else. I dont see how they will enjo a fight in the morning on a Sunday but like i told other posters yall know more about that country and sports than i do

it's an event...the people there will pay to watch...and the people here will pay to watch as well...plus they wont have to pay US taxes

I love seeing other venues and scenary but im just confused as to why hes having fight at off day and schedule for the American money if its a big cash cow location. Havign the fight there v Floyd would make no sense if its going to be in the morning for the American public. Might as well have it here.

Boxing is different. Its an event that you get ready for and wear wuits or your best gear and the women too. A football game you go half asleep, wear hats and jersey, and s,ell like BBQ all day. Different scenarios.

For all i get the business aspect of Macau. I just dont get the day and time. As a paying boxing fan i for one want to get dressed, my women too, have a few drinks, and enjoy my NIGHT not morning. Thats all i see as the problem FOR ME. I know world doesnt revolve around me but i just dont see the appeal and thats my argument

Hey dummby, its being held sunday morning in Macau so that it can be shown on Saturday night here in the states! The asians dont mind waking up and watching a huge fight on sunday, just as back in the day when wide world of sports showed some of the best boxing matches on sunday mornings here in the states!!!! Top Rank is going to make a killing off this fight. If 1 million people(in china alone, there is 1 Billion people) in Asia buy this fight for $5 like i heard it is over there, thats 5 MILLION ppvs sold over there without even counting the U.S. ppvs.

If Pacquiao should beat Rios which is a good possibility, the people in China would be pumped to see a fight between him and Floyd and you could EASILY see 10 million PPV buys in that country at $5 and another 2 million buys in the USA at $60 a pop. The PPV alone is a staggering amount of money. This fight will come off IF both win.(Actually it could happen if both were to lose, I think that would be the best possible outlook. Floyd would not be so arrogant with a lose on his record)

Bob is sounding very desperate right about now and why wouldn't he? His guy Pacman has lost his last two fights with one coming by way of a vicious knockout. So now he's willing to sit down at the bargaining table with the same people he claimed that knew very little about boxing (Golden Boy Promotions) to negotiate in good faith.

The irony is when Manny was on top and his stock was at an all time high, he wanted very little to nothing to do with a mega Mayweather/Pacquiao bout because he thought Pacquiao was indestructible. However, since he now senses that Pacquiao's has but a small window remaining and it is closing very quickly he wants to cash him out as soon as possible before it's too late.
