  • Comments Thread For: Arum Plans To Show Floyd Mayweather Jr. The Money

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has not given up on a potential fight between Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) and Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs). The fight has long been demanded, but negotiations to make the contest have failed time and time again.

The bout lost some steam in 2012, after Pacquiao suffered back to back defeats to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Both fighters have important matches coming up. Mayweather goes back to junior middleweight to face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on September 14th in Las Vegas. Pacquiao travels to China to trade punches with Brandon Rios on November 23.

Bob being Bob, whose pockets are gonna get greased in order for this to happen? I guarantee there's going to be issues about drug testing this go around as well.

team pac seems real desperate. makes sense tho. thats the biggest money fight for pac and no other one comes close. ****, top rank hasnt even really developed any good options for pac. if the winner of jmm vs. bradley wont fight him, i dunno how his next fight is even ppv worthy.

Even if he fights the Marquez-Bradley winner, he won't have anything afterwards. Top Rank is devoid of talent around welterweight.

Arum...Do you really think Floyd is going to go for anything u say while bringing up his name trying to promote Pac's fights? He knows Floyd won't work with him. This is simply bait for the Floyd haters and media to grab onto to place more blame on Floyd. Here comes the spin in 3...2...1...

Floyd is never doing buisiness with old Bob regardless. 2 giant inflatable rafts in a 1 bedroom apartment and one of them has to get a hole punched in it.
