If however the winner ducks a GGG fight, the sure Stevens may be the only guy available.
Here is a guy calling GGG out-the same standard posters use when GGG mentions someone. The winner of gaele/barker may be too ****** up for November-but also may have a sergio fight in early 2014 and may opt for that.

GGG prbably beats stevens and looks good doing it, especially in an arena full of Brooklyn cats.

The Golovkin fight is now Stevens’ if he wants it. Golovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler, told SI.com on Saturday that he was very interested in matching Golovkin against Stevens in November, when he has an HBO date at Madison Square Garden. The exposure Stevens has gotten this year fighting on NBC Sports Network and his Brooklyn roots makes him a natural fit.

But while Stevens wants the fight, there are strong indications those in his camp want to wait. Main Events CEO Kathy Duva has expressed reluctance about rushing Stevens into a Golovkin fight, believing (probably correctly) that if Stevens keeps clobbering opponents the fight will still be there, and possibly be bigger. Stevens’ uncle/trainer, Andre Rozier, who has trained Stevens since he was five-years old, also prefers to wait. It’s certainly possible that Golovkin’s team, with HBO’s cash, approaches Main Events with an offer too good to pass up. But right now it’s looking more likely that Stevens will be back in November, just on NBC Sports.

You're talking about what if scenarios though. The Geale Barker fight is two weeks away so its GGGs best interest to wait to see how that goes, start communication, hopefully negotiate and go from there.

that's why I think we'll know who hr fights by late August or early September. Right now geale/barker is the ideal choice, Stevens in second. If all else fails, Mora. I dont think Stevens will be too happy if his handers dont male the fight

GGG also has the date and venue set, so its not as much a negotiation as it is finding an opponent. But given what Herobando posted I guess there is no other scenario if stevens people dont want to put him in there.

Why wait for Stevens to fight again in November.... Unless that's the only other time nbc will have a card. IMO HBO should put this guy on a card if they think a possible GGG fight is possible.
Hell, hr should gun for chocolate. He could probably get a main event against him in barclays

It will be a good fight. Make it happen.

Maybe they're using it as leverage to get more money out of the fight, Golovkin doesn't have many options for his November date. If Stevens' team don't act desperate for the GGG fight, they can haggle for more money.

I think the realistic options right now are Stevens, Mora, Lee (unlikely), Rubio (unlikely) and I figure the Geale v. Barker winner will be to ****** up to fight GGG later in the year.
