Think Richard S said he was too focused on being 147 and basically killed himself todo it. There was a article years aog on here him saying that. something also about he didn't have todo all that and that he was eating deer meat for no reason and all he really have todo is do it normal like the fighter do, stay a healthy weight then cut most of it all the remainder close to weigh in and then be able to rehydrate properly. He went down too much killing himself and couldnt' rehydrate properly but IMO even if he did do it right he probably wouldve lost 12 round decision instead of being smacked around.

He lost weight the proper way, lowered his metabolism and probably lowered his testosterone too. Oh well he was happy with the weight and everyone thought he'd be too big for Pac.

It was reported that his body was not retaining any fluids/liquid. Even Roach said that at the weigh in he saw fresh IV marks on DLH's arms.

Ain't nobody is saying PAC beat a prime Oscar, now ur reaching, but that version of Oscar would still put a beating on a lot of 147 guys at that time.

It's not excuse. Stop being a idiot. It's true. Oscar was losing weight the wrong way instead of the conventional way.

But regardless had he done it the right way he was going to lose..nobody is denying that. And I don't even think Huey is mentioning sht about any other fight either.

He was thinking in advance, Oscar was so confident he could beat little Manny, that he decided to weigh under, so nobody would call him out for fighting a small featherweight he would say but I weighed less than him on fight night! after he visualized him knocking out Pacman to reclaim the p4p throne and call out Floyd for a rematch at the postfight. Backfired on his ass though.

Roach did say he saw fresh IV marks on Oscars arm. Go back and watch episode 1 of the Hatton Pacquiao 24/7. I know you hate Floyd and all but it's kind of hard to refute when it came out of Roach's' own mouth.

So you gotta give credit for the risk taken, if not for the performance needed to overcome such opponent. Here it's double hard to take anything away, cause DLH dug his own grave with that outrageous cherrypick.
I wouldn't say it was comparable to Floyd-Mosley.

Floyd-Mosley was a legit fight. And sure Mosley was shot by the time that fight came around but he wasn't in as bad as shape as Oscar was for Pac.

Oscar-Pac was really Manny going up for a well-paid ass-whooping. No-one expected him to do anything. He was going make some good money and then come back and resume his proper boxing career after the fight.

And even though he gave an exceptional performance (seriously, he was at his absolutely peak in this fight, and fought with the kind of ring IQ he had never shown before), you cannot disregard that Oscar was a shrivelled prune.

My problem with how this fight is viewed nowadays by those disgusting Floyd nuthuggers - that this was the beginning of Pac's draining people. Which is just a complete and utter lie. Pac was the one who was getting cherry-picked and the only reason the figth was at 147 at all was cos it was the only way they could justify Oscar picking on a midget with one fight at 135.
