I can let the first time go. In fact, as a cotto fan, I'd even say that cotto was in the best shape of his life that fight. Just fought with the wrong game plan/poor training, and PAC was too much. But this second go around, speaks volumes IMO.
cotto was offered the fight anywhere from 147-150, his natural weight definitely is not 154(i hope that was not what you were implying)

and i think cotto asking margarito to fight at 150 after declining the pacquiao fight at 150 speaks greater volumes

I wouldn't call this thread bad. Pretty decent argument but majority of these threads are anti-mayweather threads..

Your thread isn't.....so kudos for it....now make one for Floyd and watch the feedback you receive, no matter how good and objective it is....

Not quite, he asked for Marg to drop to 150 (with 160 rehydration clause!) about 1 year prior to rejecting Pac's 150 offer, and about 6 months before taunting Pac into offering 150, see below. Pac had said he's not going above 147, so 150 was a concession.

WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is counting the numbers on the check. Puerto Rico's biggest star told Raul Alzaga that his final decision, regarding his next opponent, will be determined by money. Cotto and members of his team are evaluating two possible scenarios - a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, or a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on June 9th - also in Las Vegas.

But of course, anyone arguing 150 is unfair to Cotto, or advantage Pac, is not being honest with themselves. There were polls, most posters believe Cotto is better off at 147 if not too lazy. Otherwise 150 is his sweet spot

Why didn't Manny fight Shane in 2009?

He didn't wanna fight him coming up to his 7th division, thought it was too risky. Instead took on elite Cotto. a lot better than Sharmba Mitchell coming up to your 4th division, don't you think?

                You took the bait punk.lol..

Floyd beats Mosley, the undisputed ww champion...Manny fights cotto at 145 for the wbo right? Just like nobody made Oscar sign the contract, nobody made Manny sneak his way into the ww division for a title at a cw right?

Just to fight his very next fight against at 147....

Floyd fought sharmba as a tuneup for Judah, because he hadn't faced a southpaw since corley...that's the only reason he fought him....he fought zab next which may have looked bad on paper, but zab lost by SD just like the ts said about clottey regarding cotto...

But then Floyd fought the undisputed ww champ in baldomir which still got bashed after he shut him out before fighting Oscar who gave himself every advantage like he tried with Manny and it backfired on him like it did with Manny...Oscar's only to blame...

Manny fought Shane at 147 was a bad look for him....

Moving up all of these weight classes is great for him, but fighting for titles at cw takes some of the luster off of them....and not fighting the undisputed champion also does this....

Non-title cw fights are fine with me....

And Manny fought Oscar coming into his 7th division, not cotto...huge difference..

The only reason it didn't happen is because cotto didn't bend to PACs demands, and pac wouldnt bend on his own demands, which DOES NOT mean the demands weren't there. But cool story bro.

PAC said 147, cotto said *** off let me be comfortable, and PAC refused.
