They make Maidana out to be this scary mythical badass warrior but he's just an average contender looking for a payday like anybody else.

Rather, they want to make Thurman sound like Ali for wining an interim title 3 days ago.
They changed fighters at the last minute and Miadana's team didnt go for it adn you cry me a river. Ducking is what Garcia did to Ajose and Matthysse, or what Floyd did to Pac. Not letting others play you like a fool changing fighters at their convenience isnt ducking.

I was disappointed when Chino didn't fight him the first time, but Thurman made it up the hill anyway and now they're on equal footing. Broner/Maidana winner will most likely have to fight Thurman. It's about time we see two Haymon up-and-coming stars fight each other.

I think fighters should be in similar positions (or close) in their careers before the word duck could be used. Maidana was at much higher point in his career in comparison Thurman. And Maidana not having a name is bull****. His Ortiz and Khan fights were high profile fight of the years. Thurman was indeed a nobody. Since when can you duck a nobody?

Guys with high KO ratios makes a terrible tuneup. Doesn't matter how unknown the fighter is. Look what happened to Jorge Linares fighting an unknown dude with an 86% KO rate right after his loss to Demarco. And the matchmaker Eric Gomez coming up with a guy managed by Al Haymon after requesting a tuneup should make you especially su****ious. Maidana's team should have watched tape before accepting, but I don't think pulling out qualifies as a duck. Thurman is in a better position to be screaming duck now, but I wouldn't say Maidana is ducking untill he blatantly turns down Thurman for someone worst.

This reminds me of the people who were saying Angulo didn't quit vs Lara and using all kinds of excuses. It's fact, Maidana ducked Thurman.
