From what I've seen of Thurman, if the ring is less than 18 ft. it'll be a short track meet for Amir. But with that said. Something tells me Devon beats Khan if he can weather the initial onslaught. He might be riding the confidence train after going the distance with Randall and catching a breather with Purdy. But even with the controversy. Devon's resume has shaped up nicely.

I give Amir this fight with Devon to gauge if he needs to hang um up. But Im bout ready to say Amir might wanna think of a new career path.

Maidana was not a top 147 pounder (0-1 at WW) nor does he have a "name". He was coming off a very embarrassing loss and close fight with Morales

Maidana was known to people. A top fighter in the division. Whether he was coming off a loss or not, fighting Thurman at that point would be ******. And ****** for any other top fighter at the time.

Only the extreme unsaavy in business fight a dangerous, big puncher, who is unknown as a tuneup or stay busy fight.

Would you consider Garry Russel a tuneup because he's a prospect? Or Demetrius Andrade?

EDIT: I think I misunderstood you. I'm still not sure what you mean.

Russian, I don't understand what you mean. What do you mean by a tuneup to fight a prospect Thurman? That implies he was planing to fight Thurman right after his tuneup, which I don't think he ever claimed.

Absolutely nobody knew Thurman, nor was he ever a stand out in any sense of the word. Comparing those to 2 to thurman is completely reaching. Thurman was just some young hard punching kid. In fact Thurman just fought someone like that yesterday.

Despite getting completely shut out in his fight before to a guy that arguably lost his 3 previous fights.

that young hard punching kid had a belt, that's the difference.
