Would love to see it, hard to pick who I want to win, but with Gamboa's PED past. WAR FORTUNA!

Weight issues? Come on man....he didn't make weight once by 1 pound and actually got down to 126.6 and then decided that it was not worth it specially with the paper title he had. Also, let's not forget to mention that he went to train in the Dominican Republic for that fight and was not trained by his current trainer Sarmiento. So, I'm sure that had something to do with it. Let's not condemn the guy because of one incident in over 20 fights...not exactly giving him the benefit of the doubt, are you? Let's not go overboard with that....seriously my brother!"Knock him out and send him back to Cuba"
One thing for sure is Fortuna can fight, but he doesn't appear to have the dedication required to be in the elite class with the weight issues ect.. He's KO'ed some other decent prospects too and I don't think Gamboa will be chomping and the bits to go down to 130 and fight him at this point in his career. Too much risk not enough reward....
Oh, and this fight is to be fought at 128lbs so weight issue won't be a problem as far as I see it....just an fyi.Last edited by illpapi; 07-30-2013, 08:03 AM.Comment

He should fight the Japanese dude that fought this weekend he is a beast.
Is Fortuna at 135? IDKComment

Not a chance. I think Fortuna takes him out of there. In my humble opinion Fortuna's power is better than the Mexican American that fought the Japanese dude this past weekend. And as far as I know Fortuna is still fighting at 126lbs even though the fight for this Friday is contracted to be fought at 128lbs.Comment

Last night I watched Fortuna's spanking of Cristobal Cruz. Sarmiento had a jacket that read, in big letters, "Coach Sarmiento." I've never seen that before, a trainer advertising himself like that. I couldn't understand that. Here you have a hot young fighter and his trainer isn't wearing the fighter's name but his own on his jacket. SMHWeight issues? Oh wow...I didn't notice that. That is kind of weird to be honest. As if people won't start asking about him as long as his pupils keep being impressive. I find that to be unnecessary.Last night I watched Fortuna's spanking of Cristobal Cruz. Sarmiento had a jacket that read, in big letters, "Coach Sarmiento."
