Thing is for me, all I ever see Floyd doing most of the time is extremely good movement, but just potshotting. It has influenced judging in the sport to score points for potshotting for most of the round, instead of fighting. Floyd gets ridiculously ****** scores in fights, like the Cotto scores. That fight was either 115-113 or 116-112, with the latter most likely.
He has a defensive style which is boring in a lot of peoples eyes (an opinion just as valid as the people who like his style of fighting). I think people confuse liking a chess match to being a "in-depth" fan. His personality and antics are what sells the fights though, as well as his status, but its his opponent which usually brings the excitement.
Floyd is a boxer, takes guts to get in a ring. But he's just not a warrior. Some people just aren't. And really, if he doesn't care about it, noone else should really. He'll go down for his skills, not for his heart.
