Let's be clear, Golovkin says he can make weight and his trainer says he can do it easily but all you have here is a crowd Mayweather fans ready to make any excuse they can for him not to get into the ring with a guy everyone knows can beat him.

Moreover, stepping up to a bigger opponent is more difficult than moving down to face a smaller opponent. So I disagree with you.
All of this is irrelevant since they are on different networks.

Mayweather is big, but nothing like Tyson was. i could walk down the street in china and talk to a homeless man and he would know who Tyson was and be like Floyd who? or i could ask some cutie in the uni library who's been reading books all her life and i would get the same answer. Floyd is known in Europe, but I wouldn't call him a household name. Tyson on the other hand was, Him, Ali, guys like Michael Jordon, Michael Jackson. I knew the names from a kid before knowing what they did to become famous. Mayweather isn't close to that, neither is RJJ.

            how does this make sense?

canelo dropping 2 pounds is a cherry pick and attempt at weight draining

ggg dropping 6 or 8 pounds is a legit fight one that will align floyd with ray robinson and srl

bunch of bias ******s were dealing with.

Marquez is working with a convicted steroids dealer and developed one-punch power from nowhere. Where was Sr's evidence for Pacquiao? Bear in mind his accusations come pre-Cotto/Margarito.

Actually I'm not getting to that, it will just de-rail the thread.
If you can rationally think like this it means you rationally understand that HBO wouldn't release GGG to fight on showtime, that the fight isn't big enough to do a cross network promotion, and that GGG isn't the best MW in the world so fighting him at any weight does nothing.

If you think GGG beats floyd fine. But to try and rationally argue GGG is the top contender for a floyd fight at 154 is stretching it.

The two aren't comparable. Now if Golovkin was moving up, he'd do well to take on another SMW to test the waters before taking on the best SMW in Andre Ward.

You won't know that until he's in the ring. They say he can make it easily so there you go.

See above, and this thread isn't about Matthysse.

Who cares what they say? Golovkin wants the fight and he won't be asking for a catchweight.
We won't know for sure until he's in the ring but the chances are he won't be healthy at a weight he hasn't been at in such a long time.

It doesn't matter what "they" say. "They" said Chad Dawson could make 168.

What he should do is move down to 154 and test the water.

As for Matthysse, you can bet that Matthysse will be a lot more comfortable at 147 than Golovkin will be at 154 but one is ok and the other isn't?

why do u always cry when i call u out on your nonsense? it always shows up in floyd threads btw, which is sad because u are an otherwise cool poster. but for u to sit here and not act like u are being biased is just silly. if u want to talk about me not writing in complete sentences on my mobile device, have at it. im not gonna cry about it tho. but because golovkin says he can make the weight he will be fine, yet mathysse, whose fought at 147 before and whose said hes willing to move up to fight mayweather, needs to get wins at the weight first? seriously, come on man. stop it.
