No because Floyd is not a middleweight.
Will Mayweather fight Golovkin?

If he wants to compare himself with Robinson and Leonard, and say he is better than Muhammad Ali and thet he is the best in history as he said...damn at least he needs fo face the middleweight champion...He will not even accept the challenge to fight Golovkin at his weight of 154, as he didnt accepted to fought a drained Martínez at a catchweight 152, and fought the likes of Guerrero and Ortíz instead.
Said that...Golovkin would chop his head off with a jab so I would't blame him for not taking the fight.Comment

Lmao. Exposed.Wait so yesterday you said if Matthysse fights Floyd after beating Danny, it's not a legit fight because he hasn't proven himself at 147 yet. But GGG vs. Floyd fight is legit if he moves down to 154 without fighting someone else at the weight first. That seems contradictory to me. You can't have it both ways.Comment

Moving down is moving down, that's not a "step up". Why would he have to fight someone else in a weight class lower when (theoretically) he already holds the advantage of being the bigger guy?Wait so yesterday you said if Matthysse fights Floyd after beating Danny, it's not a legit fight because he hasn't proven himself at 147 yet. The two aren't comparable. Now if Golovkin was moving up, he'd do well to take on another SMW to test the waters before taking on the best SMW in Andre Ward.
You won't know that until he's in the ring. They say he can make it easily so there you go.
See above, and this thread isn't about Matthysse. You're saying Matthysse isn't a legit fight for Mayweather moving up one weight class and a cherry pick but fighting a guy who hasn't been lower at 160 in years is fine? "It's on him"? Isn't moving up in weight "On him" in regards to Matthysse?
Who cares what they say? Golovkin wants the fight and he won't be asking for a catchweight.Last edited by Weebler I; 07-23-2013, 08:36 AM.Comment

In what universe does beating GGG mean this much? The guy isn't the best MW in the world and as of this email his best win is Macklin, yet you say beating him qualifies floyd to make comparisons between himself and SRR, SRL, and Ali.If he wants to compare himself with Robinson and Leonard, and say he is better than Muhammad Ali and thet he is the best in history as he said...damn at least he needs fo face the middleweight champion...He will not even accept the challenge to fight Golovkin at his weight of 154, as he didnt accepted to fought a drained Martínez at a catchweight 152, and fought the likes of Guerrero and Ortíz instead.

If you like GGG thats cool but you should be embarassed about what you posted. Maybe you were trying to say something else and it didn't come out right.Comment

u should have just admitted to being biased and left it alone. smh. u do know its much harder to move down in weight than it is to move up rite? esp when u are 31 and uve fought at that weight your entire career. this isnt rocket science. stop being so biased. its more than obvious.Moving down is moving down, that's not a "step up". weebler's been crazy the last 2 days. yesterday he was killing floyd sr. for accusing manny of ped use then he accused JMM of ped use vs manny.u should have just admitted to being biased and left it alone. smh. u do know its much harder to move down in weight than it is to move up rite? esp when u are 31 and uve fought at that weight your entire career. this isnt rocket science. stop being so biased. its more than obvious.
Maybe the birth of the new heir to the throne has him all crazy. Maybe he used to date Kate back in the day.Comment

If you're going to attack another poster you should at least learn to use capitals so as not to come off so uneducated. I could go at you in every post like you do to me and others but I don't because I'm not of that ilk.u should have just admitted to being biased and left it alone. smh. u do know its much harder to move down in weight than it is to move up rite? esp when u are 31 and uve fought at that weight your entire career. this isnt rocket science. stop being so biased. its more than obvious.
Let's be clear, Golovkin says he can make weight and his trainer says he can do it easily but all you have here is a crowd Mayweather fans ready to make any excuse they can for him not to get into the ring with a guy everyone knows can beat him yet they're fine with Mayweather dragging little Marquez up two divisions and having Matthysse step up untested at the weight.
Moreover, stepping up to a bigger opponent is more difficult than moving down to face a smaller opponent. So I disagree with you.
Marquez is working with a convicted steroids dealer and developed one-punch power from nowhere. Where was Sr's evidence for Pacquiao? Bear in mind his accusations come pre-Cotto/Margarito.
Actually I'm not getting to that, it will just de-rail the thread.Last edited by Weebler I; 07-23-2013, 08:46 AM.Comment
