I think you Americans are having a hard time understanding this, it happens regularly over here.
    This is perfectly true... actually.

Scott was counted out for the KO, and when you are counted out, you must count to 10. This isn't a hard concept to understand. But you Brits had to act like morons just because your guy won. Only people accepting this bull**** are Brits. And I'm not sure why because its a clear BS KO and not only gives us another Moron ref who doesn't know the rules but also ruined a fight.

But doesn't apply because the ref counted him out

It was a bad stoppage but there is blame to go around. People even complained in Ali vs Foreman that the ref never fully counted to 10 before calling it off when George was starting to get up.

Bad stoppages happen in boxing. Oh well. better too early than too late

Right... One should also review the fight and see how badly embarrassed the ref looked before the decision...

Right, but I think you still have to take into account Scott's decision to get up on 9.something, that isn't exactly screaming to the ref that he's ready to continue. You've got to show the ref you're fit to continue and languishing on your knee for most of the count doesn't exactly suggest that.
So just because Scott took a second longer then most fighters, he deserves to have a shorter count? Scott was ready to show the ref he could continue, but he counted him out jnstead

No, the contest was waved off.

It's not a coincidence that us Brits are the only ones able to understand it, I understand, despite the fact I had money on Scott to win and was livid when it was ended.

I know BoxRec lists it as a KO (counted-out) but unless we hear from the referee, no one knows for sure the actual judgement. From what I remember, the referee took a good look into his eyes before waving it off.

No he was counted out, this was a KO. The ref must wave in any case a fight isn't a decision so I'm not sure what him waving proves anyway.

No Brits are hugging their own fighters nuts. They first argued that the wave counts as 10 and now that he wasn't a KO. And wrong in both cases
