Pre-Douglass Tyson could have knocked out Lewis but Lewis would've given him hell.
Lennox Lewis stated that Mike Tyson would have never been able to beat him. Agree?

What else would he say? "Yeah he might have sparked me for sure." That's not how fighters are supposed to think.Comment

A couple months ago, Lennox Lewis stated in a interview that "Tyson at his absolute best could never have beaten me. I have too much size and strength over him"
He also went on to state "outside of a lucky punch, he has no chance. I had his number when we used to spar, when I fought him in 2002 and would have his number any other year"
What do you make of this?Comment

According to some people on this board "having trouble with tall fighters" , means lopsided decision wins. People place such a high standard on Tyson that if he didn't ko his opponents, then that means he had trouble with them.
Tyson in his prime had dangerous combos, not one or two punches but combos. Lewis will loose by Ko or decision, either way he will LOOSE.Comment

still doesn't nescessarily mean theyd lose to lewis. I actually think even prime bowe would have beaten lewis at the time they were rumored to be close to fighting. lewis got better tho under steward and that lewis probably would have beaten bowe. bowe was no joke when he was at his best. laziness shortened his careerComment

Nobody here said that, but see what Tyson says or what Wladimir says when they are asked something similar. They give credit to the other fighter and say it's difficult to compare the different eras.Comment
