What bull****... The issue was tape on the skin. In Vegas it is OK in NYC it is not.
This clown Bouie was just trying to make himself a factor and therefore raise his value to Hopkins. It was a mind game they were playing on Tito and they had to justify it by making it seem like it was something it was not. Both Manny and Margarito (Plaster dude) wrapped their hands the same way... Tape on skin, when they fought each other.
Why would Tito's father want to weigh his son's hands and essentially have him fighting all night with weights in his hands? Even 1lb. over the course of a few rounds would cause arm fatigue etc.
"it was as heavy as a camera!" Dear hysterical Bouie, an entire roll of tape weighs nothing close to a big @ss Camera. Tito was a solid dude.

I think his 1-3 record doesn't mean anything,, its not like he was losing to Demetrius Hopkins or going the distance in his win. He was still smashing a fool, its just that Mosley, Pacquiao and Cotto have the style to beat him, and Manny was much faster. Nobody stops Mosley so its no surprise Tony didn't. Neither did Floyd, DLH, Forrest, etc.
He didn't "smash" anybody after the incident.

This is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. There was no proof that Felix Trinidad violated any of the NYSAC rules. Furthermore, they found no improprieties in his hands wraps. Therefore he was never disciplined; Either through a fine or suspension because of it. This was all part of a gamesmanship ploy by Bernard Hopkins to get Tito's hands re wrapped in the presence of one of the members of his team; In this case Naazim Richardson, to get inside Trinidad's head and throw him off his game and it worked to perfection.

Here is an interview from Richardson
The Ring: How was Trinidad different than Margarito?
****m Richardson: To me, Trindad's situation was much, much different than Margarito's. What Trindad did was actually legal in some places. It just wasn't legal in New York. I had the rulebook with me right there in my hand.*Trinidad was an abrasion against the rules. Margarito downright had a weapon.
There is a difference when you say you're playing chess and have your men lined up differently, as opposed to having extra men on the board. Margarito tried to bring extra men. He had a knuckle pad. Margarito had a strip over the back of his hand, around his thumb and wrist. They told me it was because of a previous injury was why they wrapped it that way. One look and you could tell it wasn't right.

Funny the guy that has Margarito in his avatar is trying to accuse Trinidad of cheating. Trinidad put his tape on wrong according to the rules. Margarito used plaster to win fights and wasn't a winner til he started doing it.
Why does this thread smell of Z-clan?
