Fisher said Cheato Tito "La Momia" Trinidad's hands had excess tape and were very heavy and hard. But I'm going to point out the differences between La Momia Trinidad and Margarito. Margarito lost to ATG's after he was busted but had already been beat by merely good or average champs before like Paul Williams and Daniel Santos. On the other hand, La Momia Tito Trinidad lost to a merely good champ after he was busted and a washed up ATG. But before he was busted La Momia Tito's fans were bragging about how he'd beaten ATG's, multi division champs and numerous gold medalists. La Momia Trinidad was 3-2 without the loaded wraps and lost to a Roy Jones who was 2-3 with 2 KOBY's in his last 5 fights and Roy even lost his next fight after Trinidad. Tito definitely had always been cheating but Margarito looks like it was a one time thing.

Bouie makes it sound fishy as hell but all that happened was that the wrapping had been done thicker than was normal. That's all it was, nothing illegal in the wraps was ever found. I don't understand what the controversy was.

Deep down they know Tito was a killer and that tape on skin, Vegas wraps, did NOT make everyone who fought in Vegas a killer.

These bitter poverty-donkeys have no choice but to try and diminish what Tito has accomplished with one left hook. They know tape does not make Yory Boy's head fly back off his neck at 100mph. They know that requires raw power and not just tape on the skin.

I know mine is not a popular opinion but I think he did it his whole career and it was a big factor in his success he often would have his left glove on by the time the opponents trainer showed up and if you want to fight Tito you fight Tito that way was the aditude Vargas was ruined despite never being knocked down in his career Whitaker got his jaw broken

The fact that his left was no longer giving people the star seeing shot it had before gave these fighters confidence and they where able to attack more readily Whitaker went the distance still because his whole career the one thing about him was he was able to take away peoples left hook

Tito should be put infront of a line of all the boxers he fought and let them take a shot with a baseball bat that kind of cheating ruins lives and he should be imprisioned along with margacheato

the way I understand it is he had layered tape and gauze to form a much harder denser surface the reason noone caught it was the top layers were gauze and this was not done infront of the other camp
