Kid Chocolate vs Toni Canzoneri is one of my favourite pieces of footage from that era. Amazing stuff.

The first time I watched Chocolate in action, it appeared as if it was just modern footage made to look old. Really impressive. A far cry from, say, Jack Johnson...and it was only about twenty years removed. You watch some of the old ATGs and it's tough to argue they couldn't compete with the best of today's fighters.

At times HBO act like scumbags, especially when they are dealing with Arum & Sulaiman & do them favors..They(HBO & Arum) thought Donaire was going to easily beat Rigondeaux & this way it would look really good on his record & had bigger plans for Donaire, but when Rigondeaux didn't cooperate & schooled Donaire in a UD win, they got upset with Rigo for ruining their plans & now want to "Black Ball" Rigondeaux with the excuses that he doesn't sell ect ect..Arum & Sulaiman tried to do something similar to Sergio Martinez with HBO's help when Zbik was the mandatory for Sergio's WBC title(at the time) & HBO said they were NOT interested in Zbik & instead HBO said they would rather have Martinez fight undefeated(at the time)154lbs WBO world champ Serhiy Dzinziruk & after Martinez beat Dzinziruk(by KO) Sulaiman stripped Martinez & LITERALLY GAVE the WBC title to Zbik & daclared him the new world champion(without having to fight for it) then Arum along with HBO had Julio Cesar Chavez jr challenge Zbik for the WBC title on HBO! & HBO was all for it!! After Chavez Jr had the title, Arum & Jr avoided Martinez as much as they could & Arum milked Jr as long as he could by having him defend the title against dud's until he had no choice & fought Martinez..

There were lots of guys by the mid teens that had supposed "modern styles" and by 1930 all the greats were "modern". Watching alot of the post modern current fighters is more painful and depressing.

Lol you mean a masterpiece against a guy who was knocking out fighters left and right??? Why cause he is cuban?? Pbf is praised for what he does same **** when does he slug it out against a p4p opponent. Let me see example lets say pbf vs golovkin inam not saying golovkin is p4p yet but because of his power he doesnt engage into a war but pbf puts out the same plan and outboxes simlar to what rigo did why is it any better cause pbf is american???

Arum got ****ed bug time first Juanma, then Pac, now donaire funny **** it has been latinos that have been decapitating his cash cows. I taught donaire put a brilliant performance even better than what pbf did to corrales considering rigo's record, size disadvantage and he was facing a top 5 p4p at the time. that sucks.. I'm a fan of boxing.. and can appreciate a good schooling.. I don't know what people are hard on Rigo.. yet they praise Mayweahter.. identical fighting styles!! IMO..

Moral of the story if youre a media whore and are poised to be a cash cow you will get vulnerable opposition and crappy champions to pick apart if not you will get thrown to the wolves and sacrificed but they underestimated Rigo and didnt realize he was the wolf and Donaire the sheep.

Great speech by the manager. Maybe the problem is Arum should have built up Rigondeaux like Broner. Maybe he would have acquired more confidence to be more aggressive and avoid those walkabouts.
