Isn't Mike 30+? The way he's going, he really needs to put that bank away, especially when he lost a couple prime years and at the rate he's going, he may only have a couple years left in the tank. If Mike can finagle a little more scratch, good on him. Besides, its not like he's dropping an ultimatum of give-me-more-or-no-fight, he says the fight will probably happen he just wants a little more. I can't see the fight not happening unless TR and Bob decided to be mean and put the screws to Alvarado financially.

Mike you messed up the plan and beat Rios..Pacquaio was supposed to be taking Rios belt later this year..you don't make an exciting showdown with Pacquaio so they want Ruslan to take your belt to pair him up against either Bradley, Marquez or Pacquaio next year..in the end all these belts at Top Rank will end up around Pacquaio's belt by fall 2014 and it'll be his swan song mark my words.

Does anybody here even know how much he's being offered.
I'll reserve judgment till I find out.

No it's not, he and rios were severely over paid for their rematch. He beat rios, who's only a middle top 10 guy at 140, for his only good win, months after getting stopped by him. Ji-Hoon Kim and Mauricio Herrera are just as entertaining, maybe even more and both guys get paid 1/20th of that. So yes he's overpaid and thinks he's worth much more then he actually is

Guy sounds like Marquez. Rios is a star for a reason guy. You're a fine boxer but a nobody that will probably run the same way Rios had you running.

I agree with Mile High on that, he is the man, he whooped up on Rios and deserves to get compensated like a winner. Provid isn't going to be any walk in the park and he wants to get paid for taking punishment, I don't blame him either. Good to see him taking a stand in this instance as he deserves proper compensation.

Naw their about the same. Second tier 140 pounders. They probably lose to most of the top 140 guys

Rios took alvarados heart and balls in the first fight. He was gutting him again in the second fight until Alvarado admitted to the world he was a little gunshy b1tch and sold his soul for the win by running like a girl. He won the fight on points technically, but he will never be the same fighter as pre rios. He saw he wasn't the man like he thought. Now he has doubts in his mind. That means he's as good as finished. He's a shot fighter mentally. Night still have the skills physically but his illusions of invincibility were shattered. He's going to become like Kermit Cintron. Provodnikov would rip his head off. He should look for some easy fights against guys who can't punch--see if he can get some self confidence back... But I doubt it....
