He won the fight on points technically, but he will never be the same fighter as pre rios. He saw he wasn't the man like he thought. Now he has doubts in his mind. That means he's as good as finished. He's a shot fighter mentally. Night still have the skills physically but his illusions of invincibility were shattered. He's going to become like Kermit Cintron. Provodnikov would rip his head off. He should look for some easy fights against guys who can't punch--see if he can get some self confidence back... But I doubt it....
    What's this garbage.

As if boxing is just a slug fest where the toughest guy wins.

Avlarado adjusted for the 2nd fight. He moved, he worked hard, and he dug deep. Rios had the capability to hurt him but got frustrated and just grinned like a clueless poodle for the 2nd half of the fight. That's called skill, not running. Alvarado was hitting and moving. He wasn't being negative, he was being smart.

Don't get me wrong, running is bad, like how Dirrell ran from Froch. It should be frowned upon. What Alvarado accomplished against Rios was not running away. It was the right way to fight Rios, and the world was unanimous in agreeing that Mike won that fight, so I have no idea where this 'brass balls' hate is coming from.

I Agree With Alvarado; He's Not Ducking Provo...Arum Needs To Pay Up!

I think Provo will knock out Alvarado, but I agree Alvarado is spot on... why should he take less money than Rios got for fighting Alvarado???? That's just Arum being a ***, trying to catch someone uneducated and get the fight done "On the Cheap"... meaning more money for Arum. Like Alvarado said well, "The fight will probably get done, but they need to pay hi like a World Champion". True statement. Alvarado isn't ducking, or stalling against Provo, he deserves paid well; he just fough Rios TWICE.

Nothing I hate more than a fighter that thinks because he beats a guy that he should get the bigger fight than the guy he beat. Thas straight bull****. Then he's ****ing whining like a ***** that the guy he beat gets the exsposure of a ppv while he gets the exsposure of WCB.

**** Mike. TR should fire his ***** ass for having the nerve to complain about this being un fair. Puto, chicken **** hype job.

No he would not have. Tim don't have no pop & Ruslan would have still tagged him. .

Good to see him taking a stand in this instance as he deserves proper compensation.
He didn't whoop on Rios -seriously?

Are you getting? He was just in 2 FOTY candidates that already took probably 5-10 fights off his career now you expect him to be lowballed into taking a high risk low reward fight to be in another FOTY candidate that will shorten his career further? What a jackass thing to say.

Rios got paid 1.25 million or whatever because Rios is a star in the sport with a huge fanbase. Mike has been in some good fights, but he was a nearly-unknown outside of the hardcore fans and Denver residents until recently.

Alvarado is in no way entitled to demand what Rios got. Bradley beat Pacquiao, does Bradley get to demand 20+ million every fight? **** outta here.

Any of you 'fans' whining at Alvarado for wanting to be adequately paid... would you go to work for peanuts? Doubt it. Mike is worth a decent paycheck for what he's accomplished in the ring. Couple of FOTY candidates alone should do it.
