Donaire beats anybody at 122 and most at 126 not named Rigo.

Hes a never was. A guy who was carefully matched up and hyped up cause of a couple of KOs.

Donaire peaked early in my opnion but is still good enough to beat anybody in his weight class.

Hes a decent big guy who was carefully matched against mainly smaller and often faded opposition to make him look a monster. Still a very good fighter who for me belongs at 126 and wouldn't even be out of place at 130.

Talk of him being p4p #1 though was just crazy.

To me hes a good fighter just not quite what people thought or what he was being sold to be.

not really sure about being past it now but that eye injury courtesy of rigo left straight looked scary... he paid the price for being arrogant showing up with no game plan whatsoever...

but he does have a pretty packed resume...that will be remembered...

He fought bums in 2012. The fact he got fighter of the year is astounding to me seeing as someone else beat a fighter many call a legend but I call a HypeJob getting knocked out in half a fight, 6 rounds. Donaire is a never was. He is more of an opportunist.

Donaire is prime. He just would never look it with the likes of El Chacal.

I can think of another fighter that looks prime against pass prime mummies, but I would leave that for a different discussion. Now in case you wondering, lets just say this fighter will be having his corner be carrying an extra case of smelling salt to his next fight

Decent fighter, he was carefully matched against smaller opponents (Sydorenko, Montiel, Marquez, Narvaez) or shot opponents (Nishioka, Arce) and looked good against them. Still a good fighter considering the other boxers in the division.

Unfortunately he managed to avoid Nishioka during his prime and Abner Mares. He also tried to avoid Rigondeaux who eventually dominated him.

Good resume, but still overhyped fighter IMO.

still in his prime. He just lost to a fighter that doesn't have that much of a professional record but is clearly a top 10 p4p fighter. In fact, I have Donaire and Rigo both in the top 6 or so
