Technically, it's Richard Schaefer's company a (former Swiss banker) because he is the one who had originally started and financed the venture with his own money. Therefore, he assumes all of the risks and reaps most of the benefits that come along with his investments. However, he did founded the promotional company in Oscar's name, by using his trademark and brand in order to market the business itself. Oscar wasn't out of anything other than his reputation and name sake. It's akin to what the discovery channel is currently doing with the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). She doesn't assume any of the financial risks involved because it is not her company. She is only leasing her brand and trademark in order to market the network.Comment

All you have to do is look it up on the internet, which I did years ago.
Oscar is just the face playing up his popularity as "The Golden Boy"; there are moneyed partners and investors who put up most if not all the money. I read years ago that there were 9 investors.
Schaeffer was hired to be the CEO and he runs the company. He has more actual company authority than Oscar who doesn't have much.
The original Golden Boy was actually a fighter named Art Aragon whom nobody ever remembers today. He made real waves, was a top fighter who fought the best...Technically, it's Richard Schaefer's company a (former Swiss banker) because he is the one who had originally started and financed the venture with his own money. Pretty much. It feels like he's a silent partner, reaping the profits but not contributing in any meaningful way.Comment

Oscar's never struck me as a businessman. He can throw himself together in a suit and tie and call himself Big Balls but we all know Schaefer is the real driving force behind gbp.Comment
