well run firms have both a shareholder function (the investors) and a management function (those who run the company day to day).

the management function is headed by the CEO (Schaeffer) who is appointed by the shareholders. A CEO's function is to strike the right balance between growth and profit for the shareholders - he answers to them

Shareholder power is determined by their holding... the higher the holding the more the rights you get (e.g. voting rights, rights to veto, attending shareholder meetings etc.)

If you own more than 50% of the shares you are the majority shareholder and therefore have more rights than any other shareholder

Oscar is the majority shareholder so basically has the controlling right over the company

So to answer your question - he is charge and Schaeffer can be fired at the shareholders discretion. He is the puppet master

However because he is also a "face" he also is a spokesperson

He has the name and the recognition. He was the Golden Boy after all. But he isnt running th show. He may have a little say but mostly just a face man who collects a fat ass check.

GoldenBoy is DLHs company, he has the final say in just about anything. But Just like in any successful company, DLH is smart enough to understand how important having a group of smart people running the show. Im sure he is perfectly fine being the face of the company while his CEO and lawyers handle the business side.
