Floyds no spring chicken anymore and hes giving up a ton to take Canelo on. Age, size, strength... Floyd cant fight the best in his own division without being critized.

Oh give it a rest. If he is too old and small to fight then he should not have bothered moving up to 154. Why do you insist on using age as an excuse for Mayweather along with his size and strength? He's a younger, better preserved, faster, more talented, more multidimensional than Marquez, who is apparently willing to fight top level guys in his 5th division without a CW. And he's not even a 1x champ there. That's kinda my point, for all his greatness (GOAT in his mind lmao) the standards for the guy are lower, he's not even expected to meet the standards of a decent champ in his 5th division.

when GGG fights martinez, which will likely never happen, he will definitely obliterate him. Not that hell, get too much credit, but once he starts becoming a legitimate attraction, the top guys will want to face him. Then youll see his talent.

i dont think anyone beats GGG from 154-160. I would say even 168, but Ward would likely be the favorite in that fight.

He moved up for his two, now three, most lucrative fights. Hes not fighting your average joe at JMW. Now he wants to get a payday then move back down. I have no problem with that but thats just me.

I don't know that he moves back down, based on all available evidence he holds on to the Lineal belt for a year, then asks Canelo for another catchweight in the rematch, at best. It's an interesting situation: if Floyd wins, if you wanna be The Man at 154 you gonna have to prove it at 152. The guy is revolutionizing boxing yet again.

Good article. GGG record is a joke. He has spent his boxing career fighting just a bunch of bums. This ultra cherry picker shouldn't even be considered a legit champion. He has yet to prove he can compete in an elite level, which is unlikely. Considering him to fight Mayweather would be nonsense. Martinez would deserve to fight Floyd and he is in fact a Jr. MW, so the weight difference would be more suitable, but I doubt Floyd fights him. So let Martínez recover from his injuries, which he will do, come back and put this hype job Golovkin to sleep a long and overdue nap.
