No but lost to 22 year old unskilled pressure brawler who was beaten 3 times already. Like I said prime or no prime he has had always problems with pressure fighters. And Golovkin hunts his opponents like no one else since Chavez Sr

Can't expect these dudes on BS to think logically....lol

unless you've got a time machine you'll never get martinez at his best.

I don't mean, he'll be prime Martinez ability wise. I mean his injuries being relatively healed. (even then I don't expect 100%, but he'll likely be better coming off a lighter touch)

nah he could get re injured in a tune up

Let them talk. That's what fans do.
It's hard for Americans to understand the "Russian school".

Um no boxing fans want the fight because the best are supposed to fight the best. Sergio is king at MW its only natural we fans would want him to fight arguably the second best MW. Who cares who anyone favors its the fight that should happen.

Is this somehow similar to the very recent B-Hop - Kovalev "situation" we've faced?

No one isn't saying it shouldn't happen. It should definitely happen, just not right away. Best vs best I agree, but I it won't be best vs best if one of the fighters isn't anywhere near his best. We won't get best vs best if Martinez is coming off broken bones and over a year layoff. There's no sense in that. It'll just be best vs best in name only.

I personally agree with dibella...if sergio were to fight ggg coming from a lay off there would forever be doubters saying he wasn't at his best

a top 10 rated tune up would allow us to see how much segio's got left in the tank

however, it would be great if sergio come back to fight him after ggg racks up a couple more quality wins (he is planning on doing two more fights before the end of the year) and wins it

it's highly unlikely but it would be similar to when srl challenged hagler for the mw crown
