So if you think Martinez is broken goods permanently and are working under that assumption that he'll get re injured quickly again, why the hell do you want to see it so desperately? It's not best vs best then. Judging from his last fight, Martinez is currently at the level of Murray max. If he looks like **** in his his return fight and reinjures himself, we can safely stop giving a **** about Golovkin vs Martinez ever happening then. There no reason to see it. You don't have to wait till 2015 because you shouldn't give a fuck anymore if what you describe happens.

martinez is never going to fight golovkin...he'll fight another irrelevant UK fighter, get embarrassed, win by robbery and then he'll retire...

ggg should just forget about martinez and focus on the real ring/wbc champ, martin murray...

I don't need any explanation -- I was hoping that B-Hop would get rid of the Kovalev fight, and he did.
I think that great legends (like Hopkins) should be allowed to retire in dignity.
I think the same about Martinez.

(The bare facts show that the Russians took over 160, 168 and 175 divisions.)

Did anybody asked Murrey if he wants GGG "focused" on him"?

I think Golovkin is excellent fighter forward and cutting of the ring, but I dont think he can box of the back foot. More importantly Chavez will swing to hurt him, unlike his past opponents that only throw to survive.
i think it chavez-golovkin would be an exciting fight for how long it lasts but chavez is too easy to hit. did u see macklins fave after 2 1/2 rounds last night? Lol imagine what golovkin would do to chavez face.

The most logical fight for GGG is Chavez Jr. This would be a big match up at the 154, not to mention super exciting to watch while it last!

I think Triple "G" will dismantle Chaves too but as you say Chaves is more durable chin wise, but the out come would still be the same.....Triple "G" win

Imagine if Mayweather or someone associated with him said the same thing. People on this site would lose their minds. I was never been that impressed with Martinez in the first place so whether he's getting old or injured prone is irrelevant. Again, Golovkin is being crowned king for beating Macklin? When did Macklin become the gate keeper for the MW division? The last MW king B-Hop in his prime would dismantle Golovkin and possibly stop him. Time and time fighters get hyped on this site and when they end up losing, everyone pretends the hype didn't exist. When it comes to Golovkin I'm in the wait and see category. Once he beats a real contender I'm all on board, but nothing I've seen so far tells me he's anything special.

Because Sergio is the true champ and lineal champion of 160 its his god damn obligation to fight the best or retire, period.

Most everyone knew Hopkins was too old to beat Dawson but he was the lineal champ, had the obligation and fought. That's what true champs do. If sergio is old or injured or whatever it doesn't matter because he's still The Man at 160.

Also by now we should all have learned just because a fighter looks bad in their previous fight doesn't mean they wont look good in their next fight.

A year ago, Golovkin wasn't good enough to fight Sergio. Now he's too good?
