Eh, you're the biggest nut hugger on this board, you think anything Floyd does is the most versatile in the game. Pernell, and it's pretty much universally recognized among boxing heads.

Defense is synonymous with Pernell and Pep.
clown, youre a hater. So I guess all these trainers that speak on him are nut huggers too? Pea is maybe my second favorite fighter of all time so STFU! It is stil easier to do everything when you are a Southpaw and if you dont think so then you obviiously DKSAB.

You think because Pea & Pep are synonymous with defense means that Floyd cant be just as good or better? Newsflash, idiot. Floyd is still fighting. Ofcourse people are going to talk about them more. In 20 years people will be talking about Floyd's D and comparing those new guys to him. He will also be synonymous with defense. He already is.

We overstate his inside defense? Dude has barley been hit clean his whole career. Also, its not about style, its about effectiveness. You are just giving guys credit because of there style. Why is them slipping punches automatically better then a guy catching and rolling punches? Thats ****** to think that. The point is are you getting hit clean and neither of them are.

However, the diffference is that when those guys get older and there reflexes fade, can they still slip shots? NO. However, Floyd's D is based on fundementals so he will still not get hit clean even when his reflexes fade, just like Hopkins, Toney, etc...

This is were the nickname 'Sweet Pea' came from

As a youngster, Whitaker was known to friends and family as "Pete" and when he began to emerge as a top amateur, fans in his hometown of Norfolk used to serenade him with chants of "Sweet Pete." This was misinterpreted by a local sportswriter as "Sweet Pea." When this erroneous report came out in the local newspaper, the new nickname stuck.

P.S. Floyd uses the philly shell, and get's hit a lot on the body, and arms.

Sweet Pea can't even be touched.

Ummmm newsflash **** rider. No one credible has Floyd over Sweet Pea in the defense department besides some Floyd ****riders on NSB. Get that through your head.

The reason why they're synonymous with defense is because people with 2 eyes got to see them fight in their primes.

Broner doesn't even deserved to be mentioned with these guys. His defense isn't even that good.

Broner is a good offensive fighter, with average footwork, and decent at best defense.

Pea had far more struggles with his B and C opponents as well.....he struggled terribly twice with Rivera, Hurtado. Was also put down by Roger Mayweather, put down by Trinidad, had his eye closed by Delahoya, put down by Williams, struggled with a war torn Ramirez in the first bout.

I have to go with Mayweather as much as I adore Pea.

I don't really think Broner defense is all that should have put Willie Pep on there

Do yourself a favor and actually watch the sport, this was obviously a lame attempt at knocking Floyd. Mayweather has fought higher caliber opponents than JCV, McGirt, Hurtado and Roger Mayweather, and not once did he hit the canvas. Pernell is probably my favorite boxer of all time, so I'm gonna say it's a tie, Pernell getting dropped quite a few times was due to a lot of showboating as he found it too easy, but when he was on his game and not clowning around he was nearly impossible to hit cleanly. I won't argue with anyone that picks Whitaker.

                    It's not even close.
prime Oscar? He had just turned 24. I guess broner will be in his prime in his next fight. Pea also had a ton of fights at WW when he fought Oscar who was in his 1st WW fight. Meanwhile Floyd was in his 5th divsion when he fought Oscar, didnt weigh anywhere near the limit while Oscar had fought at MW. Floyd at that time was still basically a 140 pounder in size.

Pea was 29 and in his prime against Chavez who was also having his 1st fight at WW. Meanwhile Floyd was just turning 25 against JLC and making his LW debut while JLC was a super huge LW and had been there forever.

Your compariisons are horrible but expected. What happend against Zab? He didnt come close to winning a round after the 4th. He was shutout the last 8 rounds and wouldve been that way from the jump if he were a righty. Again, being a Southpaw is a huge advantage. Ask your boy Lucas about that with this shot version of Zab & Devon

Boner goes life and death vs Ponce and Malignaggi yet he's on these kinds of lists smh. Then you guys get mad when we say he's overrated. You guys are something else.
