Josesito and Canelo fought at Catchweight? Oh no, then STFU your post is irrelevant to this story and this fight. You are comparing apples to oranges.

FACT: *****S cried a river about Pac using catch-weights
FACT: Runweather has criticized Pac for using catch-weights
FACT: Runweather is now using catch-weights

It is obvious that he will get criticized and receive backlash.

looks like its not possible for him to do that based on Mayweather Sr statement... If he overweight by just a lb, Canelo will take home ZERO...

But holy crap, did I see Mayweather complain about catch-weights, well, until he actually had to face a fighter that was a threat. LMAO.

Floyd fought at 154 twice already and holding a JR MW 154 title while Canelo is a fellow champion at 154 and still Floyd wants 152 CW.......WOW

That's the only thing I take from your post.
hahaaha I was thinking the same thing.

                  What "brand"?

Pacquiao didn't become a star until he beat Oscar who was the biggest "brand" in boxing at the time. Oh my, some of you kids need to do your research.
Hatton was approached by DLH about a fight at 147 before Pac was ever in the picture

At that time, the fight would have been unthinkable. If anything Oscar was forced down by Floyd Mayweather because that's where they were set to have the rematch before Floyd reneged on the fight and retired.

And what was the sidebar about Cotto-Margarito? Was that some attempt at claiming you've been watching boxing for long? Oh and that was on PPV
Typing from my phone with "Swype" sometimes throws multiple words out there. "on non" was never my intention lol. But that comment was derived from yourself bringing up their fight. That fight's still recorded on my DVR and I refuse to upgrade to the new 500GB DVR's with Comcast cuz that means I lose that fight. I'll part ways one day...

And that's my point, about Pacquiao being a last option. The only reason he was given the chance to fight is because Oscar needed to fight SOMEBODY worth noting, and he was out of better options. Tomayto tomawto however you wanna look at it, it boils down to the same result. Oscar really got screwed over by Floyd, scared of Margarito and was left with Pacquiao. No way he could've even hinted at the idea of fighting at 154 against Pacquiao. Not because Pacquiao was calling the shots, but because Pacquiao would've walked away faster than a speeding bullet. It just wasn't physically possible at the time. So yes, while Oscar was the one who chose Pacquiao to fight @ 147, it was Pacquiao who was the one that made the fight @ 147 a no-brainer.

Yeah that's also true. In fact, Hatton was commentating for UK TV the night of Pacquiao vs DLH fully expecting Oscar to win so they could fight at 147 in the UK.
