He's fighting at 152 and suddenly he's the catchweight king? What about manny? Cotto @ 145, wanted to rematch at 148 while Cotto was at 154. Cheato fight @ 150 for the 154 lb title? Completely ridiculous. Wanted Mosley at 142 after seeing him destroy cheato... how you can call Floyd the catchweight king based off of 2 fights is completely ignorant... and just ******.

Canelo just said a few weeks back that 152 was no issue... so if it's not an issue, then why even talk about it? I don't like catchweights myself, but don't agree to them if you don't want the fight right?

Please show when I said Pacquiao's "last 4 fights" -- Never did, sir.

If I was Canelo, I would simply not make weight. Come in at 154. Pay the penalty. That's that.

              What "brand"?

Pacquiao didn't become a star until he beat Oscar who was the biggest "brand" in boxing at the time. Oh my, some of you kids need to do your research.
So you Oscar, on his last legs, wanted to fight the #1, #2 and #3 biggest draws (Floyd, Cotto & Pac, outside of DLH) in boxing, because they were at or below 147? Lol you NEED to read between the lines. Oscar has always been a business man. Those 3 fighters were NOT his only options to fight. They were his only options to make a hugely successful fight. Big difference.

The fact that he was THE #1 p4p fighter in the world gave Oscar LITTLE option as to who his next fight was gonna be against, once he "ducked" Margarito (which btw, Cotto/Margarito 1 was one of the best fights I've ever seen live on non ppv). My question was, and still is, don't you think if Oscar REALLY had a chance to create a huge fight at 154, he would've much rather done that? Instead, his most viable option from a business standpoint was against Pacquiao. Thus, forcing the issue of a 147 pound fight. Again, read between the lines, sir.
Oscar was fighting at 147 regardless. He dropped down to 150 to fight Forbes. That was before Pacquaio was even anywhere near being in the picture. At that time, the fight would have been unthinkable. If anything Oscar was forced down by Floyd Mayweather because that's where they were set to have the rematch before Floyd reneged on the fight and retired.

And what was the sidebar about Cotto-Margarito? Was that some attempt at claiming you've been watching boxing for long? Oh and that was on PPV

Pacman had only one fight at 135 so he almost moved up 3 division up or equivalent to 17 pounds while De La Hoya moving down 1 division up(7 pounds less),,,,

Floyd fought at 154 twice already and holding a JR MW 154 title while Canelo is a fellow champion at 154 and still Floyd wants 152 CW.......WOW

Well that sucks. Hmm. Honestly Canelo is a slow starter and he needs every pound he can get.
