There's some people who belittle his career despite the fact he's been amongst the Top 10 P4P fighters in the world, most of which amongst the Top 3, beat a very long list of fighters ranked amongst the Top 5 in the division being fought at and also P4P ranked fighters.

Then there's some who consider him to be unbeatable and one of the greatest fighters of all time which he of course is not.

his talent isn't overrated, just his resume
he hasn't done anything big since he beat Hatton
but prior to 08, his resume is solid, Floyd put in beast work at 130-135
p4p is just a tagline for him now, just like "Money" or "Pretty Boy"
Ward's resume in recent yrs smokes his, Floyd's not p4p #1 anymore

People always claim Floyd duck this fighters so he is over-rated.. What no one seems to notice is that before Floyd became a marketable name, none of these guys you people name wanted to fight Mayweather. Mayweather was the most avoided fighter at lw.. Tsyzu didn't want to fight him, Shane Mosley didn't want to fight him, Oscar De La Hoya didn't want to fight him. Casamayor or Freijtas none of these guys that had names wanted to fight Mayweather, they already knew they was going to be embarassed.

There's a valid excuse why he didn't fight certain fighters like Casamayor and Tszyu, but then he goes n fights guys like Mitchell and Corley instead? The demand may not have been there, but they would will always look better on ur resume than than Corley or Mitchell
