Yes, Mayweather (the fighter) is overrated in the sense that people have this image of him that he's invincible. He's isn't. A past his best Cotto made the point again recently but it's been made before.

People always claim Floyd duck this fighters so he is over-rated.. What no one seems to notice is that before Floyd became a marketable name, none of these guys you people name wanted to fight Mayweather.

Mayweather is a defensive, potshotting boxer. No boxer is scared of any boxer with such style. Boxers are usually scared of brawlers, offensive fighters or KO artists. Only reason why boxers don't want to fight boxers with potshotting style is there's no money there.

Boring defensive fighters don't sell fights. They're high risk, low reward type of fights. DLH changed all that for your idol. In short, no one is scared of your idol, if that is what you're implying.

Floyd was avoided for years,the only reason people call him out now is the money,years ago he wasn't bringing money to the table
Floyds beaten the best of his era,not much more he could do

Refused Hearns a rematch for years

Im going to fill you in

1. Imagine floyd getting beat by duran and running for a rematch...
SRL was a beast and fought Duran toe-2-toe for 15 rounds.. FLoyd wouldnt go toe-2-toe with corrales or gatti or ghost yet you think he would get after duran... SRL knew he made the mistake of fighting Duran's fight so he rematched him and boxed his ears off....

2. HEarns was a monster.... If floyd was SRL he would have retired after the duran fights, and came back after hearns was done at welter... FLoyd ducked margs, manny, paul williams at welter yet you think floyd would fight a guy bigger than paul williams, with vernon forrest boxing skills, with trinidad/tyson type power...... FLoyd would never fight a prime tommy hearns.... SRL did and won but it cost him his eye socket... Thats why SRL retired and there was no immediate rematch...

3. SRL came back and fought HAGLER with no tune-up.... THen fought HEarns again.....

4. Duran losing all his big fights....LMAO you dont know boxing history....
Duran was the 72-1 in his prime and the guy who beat him on a split dec he destroyed in the rematches much like manny-morales trilogy....
Duran was an old man when he was fighting hearns and hagler and SRL but dude still had skills and could truely fight.............

See this is what I mean by over rated hes an atg but this is what I'm talking about. First of all, who cares leonard didn't give hearns a rematch he fought him!! I can tell you for sure srl would have fought pacquiao no doubt. Floyd would have ducked hearns to the ends of the earth. I just wanted floyd to fight manny once....Your next point about duran is almost as bad. First of all no way floyd beats duran at ww, it's absurd. Next duran was a lightweight who chased the bigger money fights so yes he lost to champs comfortable in their own division but unlike floyd he actually fought the best guys... Lastly no floyd isn't even top 20, he has no big wins on his résumé and since he's been choosing opponents they have only gotten worse. You fan boys are mesmerized by that 0 which IMO doesn't really mean **** with his weak thin résumé. Give me a bigger win than corrales... Just ridiculous
