Everyone thought Canelo was P4P cause of how beast he looked vs smaller guys then when put to the test vs someone in his division he looked pathetic.

I talk with the head trainer of my gym after every fight on Sunday and we discuss what we saw. I can't tell you how impressive Mikey is right now.

First off, his patience is unbelievable for a young fighter. He doesn't take many risks and the one's he does take are very calculated. Now some of you will say that JuanMa is done and that it's not an impressive win, but it's HOW he won that is so impressive.

JuanMa can still punch and is a tough dude, and Mikey played with him. Literally played with him for 4 rounds. He landed when he wanted to, set him up with the lead left hook early on to take away the right hand jab and then timed him later with the 1-2.

Mikey does subtle things that are really difficult to see and I can tell you the kid is EXTREMELY well trained. He is really taught well in the fundamentals and thinks in the ring, not just react.

He can punch, take a punch, has decent speed, is very accurate and is very smart. I think with his counter punching style, he will be a nightmare for anyone in that weight class.

Salido is a very tough opponent to deal with because of his pressure and style, Mikey just picked him apart. JuanMa may not be the same fighter he once was, but Mikey just toyed with him.

I believe Mikey is a pound for pound fighter right now. He's way ahead of where he should be for his age, he's a seasoned pro and looks like he's been fighting for 20 years.

Why because he knocked out two journeymen?

I voted yes just because once you get past the top 6 guys on p4p lists, it is widely open for debate...I think you could slide him in between 8-10

I think Mikey has great skills,, probably needs one more big win to become a p4p staple..

I think he needs the move to 130 and can clear that division out.... I like his counter ability.. Has great poise..... Him and terrance crawford are the future of the lower levels

He's definitely top 10 based on skills alone, based on resume no. I like his patience, he's got the basics mastered, insanely good timing and he switches up on his power. Rios recently said Garcia hit him the hardest he's ever been hit in sparring, he attributed that to Garcia throwing perfectly timed single shots.

He looks pretty good but nah he isn't proven enough to be spoken of as one of the best of the best in boxing

This is why I'm so high on him. I agree with people in the resume argument, but I just think that his skills and patience is so good.

We will see, I think he beats everyone at 126 and 130.

do you think he can fight @ 135? i think he'll be a less potent puncher, but i can't see him @ 130 for long. the money is almost never good there. a year or so at the most.
