He definitely seems to be. Can't really think of anyone he's actually struggled with.

JuanMa can still punch and is a tough dude, and Mikey played with him. Literally played with him for 4 rounds. He landed when he wanted to,
It is not that hard to hit Juanma. The guy does not have any defense. He started moving his head a little after the 3 round.

Good point, I think he's a P4P caliber type of fighter but his resume isn't there quite yet. I base my P4P rankings on accomplishments so I think he's in top 20 maybe top 15.

            Possibly top 200.

But he really needs to stop fighting club fighters and cab drivers.

i can think of 10 better fighters than mikey garcia. i have not hashed out a recent top 10 p4p, but i have a hard time seeing garcia in it. if he wasn't in the top 10 before juanma, he certainly wouldn't be after.

the kid has a ton of tools. he's a technician. i'm sure he will still hit hard at 130, and his chin looks solid so far. i still want to see what he looks like against a 130 lber, and eventually a lightweight, as 130 has always been a migratory division.

for the p4p list you've got to go on the resume.

garcia's shellacking of salido is his best win, but after that it really falls off. he beat the sh#t out of salido.

we can't put a ton of stock into the performance against juanma. garcia looked very good, but juanma is shot. virtually everybody he's ever fought has teed off on him.

He cheated a shot over the hill Juanma on the scales. 142 on fight night, what a joke.

He looked good. I like his style coz I like boxers over brawlers. P4P argument can be made after a few impressive, high caliber fights. Mares or Gamboa for example.
