I put him Top 10 after the Salido fight. I got alot of slack for it, but he really impressed me with that fight and the simplicity of taking out JuanMa and negating anything he tried to do reinforced it for me. I think Mikey has it goods. He's a boxer/puncher and a killer. I don't see anyone at 126 or 130 beating him at the moment. I'm going to be riding with Rocky Martinez when they fight, because I like Rocky, but I expect Mikey to beat him

He's got nice skills and a good brain. But you can't call a featherweight pound for pound material when he comes into the ring as a welterweight

Nearly everyone blows up 10-15 pounds these days, its nothing new. Its apart of the modern boxing. It does however make the argument of same day weigh-ins to be brought back

Ya 135 is definitely there for him, unfortunately that weight class has no big fights there.

I think he's trying desperately to stay at 126. He wants bigger fights.

There is still money to be made with Nonito

No way he gets put in there with an assassin to end his run at the top. Not this early after being beaten by Rigo

If nonito hasnt learned to cut off the ring or deal with rigo's footwork IMO its better to fight mikey than rigo again.

yeah mikey might destroy (I ****ing hope so) him but rigo made him look like an amatuer that can't do simple things in the ring.

He'll never learn because he just doesn't have the ring IQ. Rigo and even Mikey have more ring IQ than Nonito. Nonito is just naturally a physical specimen. Fast, strong, agile, all of which helped him steamroll most opponents.

rigo was doing the same thing over and over (as he should) because nonito couldn't stop it. if he takes 6 months and does nothing but work on these things in the gym he should be much improved. he's only 30 its not too late. not saying he'd beat rigo then but he'd make rigo at least have to make adjustments.
