david haye is one of the best managed, the guy went in a self promoting route, he paid no promoter/management fees as such, he runs his own promotion

its only now he has signed with hearns but I expect that to be like floyds deal where floyd pays like 18 percent or whatever to ellerbe and a one off feee to gb

haye has had huge pay days he kept all to himself

dirrel but I think thats more his own doing, he does not have the will power to be a top boxer

gamboa killed himself by signing with 50 but mind you I bet he has some good money from 50

To become a mainstream star you need some stars to beat and Ward doesn't have anyone who can elevate his status in the US.
Ward has the worst PR team on the planet. Look at Floyd. On Dancing with the stars doing skits during the all star game and such. Pac doing commercials for Nike. For Ward to be the second best fighter on the planet P4P he is not nearly known enough.

WHY IS ANDRE WARD NOT IN A SUBWAYS COMMERCIAL?

That seems to be Ward's own decision though.

Floyd loves being on camera, Ward does not. He's happy fighting and leaving the self-promoting to others.

If don king wouldn't have corrupted tyson or Cus lived into the 90s tyson would have been the first billion dollar athlete.
LMAO WHAT!?!? Tyson seemed like he was a cold blooded killer. His in ring persona shaped his outside persona.

It's not even that. He doesn't have to be bombastic, calling people out and talking ****. He can still be SOG but try signing with companies that will help his image........LIKE SUBWAY. Everytime I see that subway commercial with that boxer I've never heard of I get mad at Ward.

I don't care what is standard in the USA.

                      I Do agree.

I always thought 'maybe he's just not comfortable doing direct camera work', but then you see him doing the on screen work for HBO and he seems extremely comfortable with it so it's strange. A top class American fighter with a great resume...even if people find his personality a bit boring, those other things should allow him to reach some level of' star status in the US.
