Not sure if water on head is illegal in Cali, but if you are not the main event fighter you don't pick the ringsize. Actually all this could be the result of Showtimes ****ty translator!!! Honestly how hard is it to find a guy who can translate instead of making stuff up??

I'm more disgusted with the one sided rehydration clause more so than the ring size. The ring was probably smaller to make the main event more action packed.

Actually now that I think about, I thought Angulo was on his way to winning the fight before the stunning TKO. I also thought Perro was on his way to winning the *****ing contest until this stunning BKO (*****ing Knock Out)!! ;-)

I agree that is the dirtiest of the accusations, but Lara's team should have immediately questioned that and made it public. As far as ring size goes, that was my point Maidana/Lopez was the main event. Both fights were a pleasure to watch, maybe every fight should take place in ring that size.

This is a very articulate and well spoken interview. It really annoys me when all I get is a gibberish translation of a Spanish speaking fighter's words. They are always made to sound ****** by that HBO dumb ass.

I am glad Lara is speaking out about Schaeffer's comments because I thought at the time they were so outrageous and reprehensible that it must be some kind of mistake.

For Schaeffer to downplay Lara like that on the heels of a hard fought victory is disgraceful for someone in his line of work and in my opinion it borders on criminal and should give Lara grounds to terminate their partnership if he chooses.

A promoter should (and I assuming would) have a responsibility to act in a way that is in the best interest of his fighter and partner. Schaeffer's position in boxing, combined with his comments, can potentially harm Lara's ability to get fights and cost him money over both short and long term.

It boggles my mind that he said what he did. Especially given he has a background as a shrewd businessman first and a boxing guy second.

And more open to the shots coming back at him, he was hurt against PDL in a few ocassions specially in the final rounds, Rigondeaux would hit that body and chin so hard that mares will think twice about rushing, same happened to donaire, in the fris round he got stunned and felt Rigondeaux power and he became gun shy the rest of the contest...

i don't think it was the power.. I think was more so the speed.. and he never moved side ways.. giving rigo too many outs..
