Oh right, because Angulo's always displayed blazing speed with uncanny boxing ability...

Is he going to outbox the Lara's of the world, not at all, but he has one-punch power.

I just love how overrated Lara is because he got hit with flush hooks from a light heavyweight while also getting punished with body shots. Lara's known to fade later in fights, his activity level goes down, yet here he was -- not clinching when he should have -- fighting back while hurt.

I'd still pick Angulo to stop Canelo, Trout, and maybe even Kirkland in their rematch if it ever happens. Is it possible that Lara is actually an elite fighter?
I don't see how you can form that conclusion.

Angulo has shown time and time again that he's not capable of those things.

How many lack luster performances does he need to have to confirm this?

No way is stopping Canelo or Trout. Nor would he beat Molina. I'd doubt he'd beat Kirkland either but it's hard to say considering we don't know where he's at currently.

Lara being caught by Angulo has nothing to do with my opinion of him being overrated, my opinion of him being overrated is his clear lack of dimensions, a non existant inside game and the fact, despite winning clearly IMO at the time of the rightful stoppage, he struggled with a fighter who was slow, limited and dead average at his peak and is certainly worse now.

In regards to Lara being elite, or that being possible, not from what I've seen.

And where exactly in my post does it imply this?

That is exactly my point. And it's even worse now as he's clearly worse after his comeback.

          Man, fk the haters.

To take the punishment Lara took and then still be able to do the damage he did while hurt as well as late in the fight vs a guy who put on 20lbs overnight says a lot.

With that said, a lot of respect goes out to Angulo. That motherfker just kept coming and put it good on Lara.

What is this BS that "ANGULO WAS WINNING" or "ON HIS WAY TO VICTORY" what ***in fight was you guys watching? I had Lara up or maybe you could of had it as a Draw at that time but Lara was winning the round and seem to have gotten the momentum back and was starting to out-box Angulo again

Respect to both fighters but I don't get the trashing of Lara who showed a lot of Heart and Skills but yeah he has his Flaws like most fighters do in boxing today

Well said Iron, I've been saying this for the longest as well, anyone who can't see Lara's limitations ain't looking well enough.

I admire the heart he showed but he's clearly not at the level many on here want us to believe, he's limited, can't fight or defend on the inside, and he doesn't variate his attack, it's the same straight left hand over and over. Where was the body punching, right hook, or counter left uppercut when Angulo came in?

I'm happy for Lara, all the props in the world but just because people are pointing out his limitations does not mean it's hate.

                  It is annoying.

It's as if this site is full of women.

If you don't praise a fighter to the high heavens then you "hate" them or you're a "hater".

Hell of a fight and LARA is a monster to have take the punishment he took from a big puncher like Angulo that came heavier like never before in a fight. A lot of boxers should have been knocked out with the left hook of the first knock down;i don't see 154 pound champs beating Lara.

If Lara can't variate his attack more than that, and I've always said it's the same ol' straight left hand with him, then he isn't beating Canelo. I don't think it'd be that difficult for Canelo to neutralize Lara's left.
