Lara's best win was Paul Williams. He couldn't even outbox Martisoyan and the slower Angulo rocked him twice. Stop sucking him, he's not an elite fighter

People have said that Canelos chin isn't sturdy enough to hang with Lara, but can't name a single instance for that claim to have any validity.

So again, I ask, who has Lara beat that makes him such a threat to beat Canelo?
Paul Williams is Lara's best win. Canelo doesn't have stamina like Angulo, doesn't hit as hard. Honestly I think Lara would be more dangerous to Canelo than Floyd is because Lara has power to stop him. Floyd will outbox him easily but won't stop him

That alone is 8 - 25 potential opponents, with at least 5-6 that are "legit."
I can see a Floyd rematch happening if Canelo wins the first time. Vanes is TR so GBP probably won't go that route again unless they're desperate. Kirkland has been out of the loop for so long that I can't even consider him to be an option. Ortiz still isn't a SWW so he wouldn't be legit. The winner of Molina/Smith and Cotto/K9 are the best alternatives. Canelo vs. Cotto/K9 with Lara vs. Molina/Smith on the same card would be great.

Lol @Lara...dude is good but not elite.

He went life and death with Molina, Vanes, and now Angulo. He needed to dominate them to be called elite.

Canelo will time him and KO him, Trout is better than Lara.

Not sure if you heard, but Showtime won't buy Cotto-K9, that fight is no longer an option for Cotto in September. Trout and Rosado are supposedly heading towards each other, with Ortiz looking at Mosley I'm kind of wondering where Cotto goes from here? Lara seems like one of a very few options now for September.

Sorry not sold on Lara, he had another chance tonight to really shine. Not saying much either if you've been paying attention how Angulo has looked since the battering he took from Kirkland.

Lara looked better against angulo while getting dropped twice than Canelo did against trout. Lara also just stopped who has a much better chin than any of canelos KO victims.

And when I was asked why I don't trust canelos chin it was because a fat cotto almost dropped him and Lopez and trout were moving him around at times lol

When I label someone as an "elite", I'm not talking about just their standing within their division, I'm referring to where they stand in the sport. Trout/Canelo/Lara/Molina are all on the same level, Mayweather is the only "elite" fighter there and he isn't even a real LMW.

Angulo gave Lara a tough fight, but he does that to everyone. He's tough as nails and while Lara can punch, he isn't a KO artist. I expected a hard-fought victory, but I didn't expect Lara to get KD in the process. He had to get up off the deck twice to earn his victory cuz Angulo refused to hand it over. It doesn't make me think less of him because this was the first bout where he was forced to dig deep for a victory.

Beating Trout does not all of a sudden make Canelo an elite fighter, but it's a step towards the goal.
