I agree with the above posters that you can't really compare the fight tonight and the trout fight and find a winner. Canelo would probably employ a different technique against Lara than he did against trout due to their different styles and strengths.

I would let Canelo mature a bit more before I put him in there with Lara (maybe 2-3 years from now). Lara is a crazy good athlete and technician with significant power. It's a dangerous fight with very little upside for Canelo.
That's a long time when you consider where both guys are at right now. Canelo should fight Lara after Floyd.

I don't think Canelo is ready for a guy like Lara (or Floyd). He should wait until he's 25 at the very least (when he's closer to his prime). The floyd fight was inevitable, however, fighting Lara doesn't seem to make much business or match-making sense (even though they're both top jr-middleweights). He's too dangerous.

Canelo needs to take a page out of Floyd's book and fight dangerous fighters when they're shot, older or when he has a clear advantage.

How many times do you see Canelo fighting in that 2-3 year time frame? I'm sure GBP will find someone if they decide to not match him up with Lara, but there aren't many legit options.

Canelo's KD won him that fight. A clear win, but to act like he dominated Trout like some do just doesn't make sense to me. He can beat Lara and I'd tentatively pick Canelo to win, but Lara's style would give him a lot of problems and Erislandy has a very good chance at winning.

Lara is soooo overrated!!!! I like Angulo but he is flat footed comes straight forward and doesn't even try to get out of the way of a punch.

He'll take punches to geet inside and give his own. Canelo would not get hit that easily, and he would not come straight at Lara and get hit that way.

Canelo could work the body and wear Lara down, especially with all the running Lara does!

                  This guy is overrated!!!!!!!
