I'm sure there are $1,000,000 per pound fines or something to stop that from happening.

Its a different senerio for everyone!!!! For example if Canelo makes 154 without alot of sacrifice and can rehydrate without packing on to much food and fluid to the point that his conditioning is jepardized its NOT a big deal!
When a fighter must completely dry out to make weight and doesn't rehydrate properly his conditioning can go out the window during the fight!!

So its a different circumstance for all, its knowing your body and your mind
and handling the situation so theres no compromise!!!! Ray.

canelo.... a young guy.... who's fought between 147-154 for the past five years....

who comes in at 12% bodyfat.... 2lbs.... is nothing.... 4lbs would have been nothing

very true; how much it affects canelo obv depends on how "tight" he is making 154. he came in under that limit for trout and is only 22 (cutting then rehydrating without detriment tends to be easier when your younger) so he might make 152 comfortably?

And again, he weighed in at 153.5 vs Trout..

when your an elite athlete and have already shave off the majority of all your unecessary weight day in and day out through the rigorous exercises of training camp and then you are still asked for two more pounds then yes I believe it makes a differece
