sulaiman probably wanted for canelo to be undefeated when he fought junior (his flipping godson.)

      no surprises here.

Financially and career wise this is a great move for Canelo. If he wins, the boxing world is in the palm of his hands, the fights he can make at 154lb would be lucrative, there's also competition/names for him at 160lb.

If he loses then he can still make the same fights at 154lb and 160lb. Because his youth he can set himself up for a rematch with Floyd if he shows development in the following fight. It could very well be Floyd's last match and I could see it at a catchweight of 157lb ( assuming he moves up to the Middleweight division).

            No kidding Mr. Sulaiman...

Canelo isn't in Mayweather's class but I can't blame him for taking the fight...like someone said if he loses he's still young and his fanbase will stand behind him...

And for what its worth, none of Floyd's possible opponents are in his class (Alexander, Khan, Garcia, etc.)

I would expect Floyd to fight the winner of Garcia-Mathysse or Khan-Alexander next year if those fights materialize...

He sounds like an idiot. Why should Canelo wait? If Floyd is ready to go now then it's time to go now, nobody has any idea where Floyd will be or what he'll want to do and if you can get him to sign a contract then you have to run with it. Saul has a lot of work to do to prepare, he can't win without improving his conditioning, he doesn't have the kind of jab you need to drag Floyd into a fight.

Alvarez knows that, he just doesn't care
this is about money, Alvarez is trying to get paid
losing to Floyd does more for him than any of his wins
all he has to do is at least try and he comes out unscathed
Floyd will win very easily, but Alvarez probably won't get hurt
the exposure will help his career in the yrs to come afterward

They are both Divas , Manny is the guy wearing white hat , i do give props to Mayweather for at least signing this fight , I don't think he wanted to .

The kid is gonna have to get lucky or have his best fight ever to beat the talented track star , after getting down to 152 .

The point the old dude is trying to make is that Canelo could have cultivated his career so that he would be 60-0-1 before he faced any serious challenge. If he loses, the aura will be lost and can never be reclaimed.
